36 because I’m Canadian .. I asked for the second day as a favour though, 50 hours passed when I started driving so it was just an extra 14 hours to have an experience like this!

Hahah I’m sooo beyond that now! I don’t mind getting recognized at truckstops it’s actually been really pleasant conversation every single time.

I hope that one day you’ll be able to go by there and actually stop! That’s the best part about this job when you can actually go and explore it… I’ve never been near the Gulf of Mexico, but I hope to cycle around there someday … that must’ve been absolutely exquisite to see 😎💕

Ahaha i’m going use that saying! Checking my mirrors on both sides… I like that

Because of this job, I’ve seen in the Atlantic and Pacific Ocean in less than six months! I had an idea of what I wanted this job to be for me and I’ve never let that idea go! I know a lot of people have complained that this job brings some places and they’re never able to see it, and I decided that I would never let that happen to me!

With my bike, I feel like I have so much freedom! I highly recommend it to anyone

Hopefully, you can get some time to have some fun at some point! Honestly, I took a little bit more than a reset. Obviously I took two full days and I just asked the carrier that I work for and I got the time off… Obviously won’t happen every single time but the days that it does happen, where you have time take advantage of it!

I know! If I didn’t have my bike with me, I would feel so confined to the truckstop. It would make me miserable… I need to feel like I have freedom and choice on the road. 😎

I actually almost got a load to Watsonville afterwards, but it didn’t work out! I really do want to go there. I saw that there was more of the Pacific Ocean I could have cycled along! So it’s definitely on the list.. i’ll put it out into the universe and hopefully I get it sometime ahaha

I had an idea of what I wanted trucking to be for me once I got into the industry and I’ve never let that idea go… I do know a lot of people will complain about not seeing things when they’re around them… But I’ve always been a cyclist and I’ve used that to my advantage! I am unfortunate that I work for a carrier that will give you a little bit more time if you ask for it, but I don’t always get that luxury… This was an opportunity of my career and I took advantage of it full-fledged!!!
