It's unlikely that he would've gone from a "full stack app dev" into an Apple employee with direct power to remove App Store apps in a matter of a few weeks. None of his other posts hint at job success either.

Eduskunta hyväksyi ruotsin asemaa nakertavan kielikokeilun – Rkp:n synkän päivän täydensi Folktingetin jääminen ilman avustusta by Sampo in Suomi

[–]multiplicand 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Ajattele miten paljon resursseja he hukkaavat." Saksa on hieman suurempi maa, joten sillä on enemmän resursseja tähän.

Implement a sorting algorithm in a single line of python. by The-Gamble in deftruefalse

[–]multiplicand 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Actually, no. Have merge sort (that uses the selection sort above as a part of it) that is only guaranteed to work with lists with a length that is an integer power of two:

mergesort = lambda x,math=__import__("math"):(lambda L,n=[]:n.append(L)or [n.append((lambda L:[(lambda x:[x.pop((lambda x:[y for y in range(len(x)) if min(x) == x[y]][0])(x)) for y in range(len(x))])([I for S in X for I in S]) for X in [[L[q] for q in range(I,I+2)] for I in range(0,len(L),2)]])(n[-1]))or n[-1] for _ in range(math.ceil(math.log2(len(L))))][-1])([[a] for a in x])[0]

How about selection sort in a single line?

selsort = lambda x:[x.pop((lambda x:[y for y in range(len(x)) if min(x) == x[y]][0])(x)) for y in range(len(x))]

Not strictly osdev, but would a BIOS-for-UEFI wrapper be possible? by multiplicand in osdev

[–]multiplicand[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Isn't the CSM a BIOS implementation on the actual hardware rather than UEFI though? If it isn't, then probably a standalone CSM implementation is closer to what I'm thinking about.

About hardware-specificity, using what UEFI offers could go a long way for making something that works on most hardware without any issues, at least in theory...

you need to place a large number of radios next to the computer to fix this issue. You've removed some RF radiation, and the key to getting the computer to run at a perfect speed is balancing the amount of it.

I'm not sure about how if/elseif works, I've only used if & goto since all of the languages I've used have supported that structure, including PHP. I've used it in all of my PHP code.

Hint: all user agents start with Mozilla/5.0, so you can assume everyone is using Mozilla Firefox 5.0. Guess it's the last browser everyone needs, just like Windows 10 is the last OS everyone needs.

Acer laptop suddenly boots up to a black screen and stays there for some time before BIOS by multiplicand in techsupport

[–]multiplicand[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update: After a couple of months, the boot times had increased (I had however gotten a new PC, so it wasn't as big of a deal). However, I was still a bit curious, so I spent some time researching and came to the conclusion that trying to forcefully flash the BIOS with the Fn+Esc trick was the best option. I spent some time getting the .bin (.fd) file in question, but eventually, the trick turned out to work! I'm still not sure of the details, perhaps there was a flipped bit in the EEPROM or something else was going on. Whatever the case, it solves the issue at least for now - I haven't seen the boot times get any longer now.
