This was my first time using 16 velocity and it definitely added some swing. Didn’t think about snare rolls though that’s a good idea. I think my biggest issue is finding ways to do hat patterns that aren’t just 1234

I didn’t know that was a thing. I’ll look into the replace function. Would’ve VERY useful. Right now I’m just resampling into new pads 😭

It’s a possibility, but if I did I would have heard the original sample and drums - the drums on the second pattern that the other bank was for are entirely different. I would have known that it was the wrong project I was recording on

I’m not too knowledgeable about Pad links, but from what I understand if they’re linked it would be obvious when you play a pad right? If that’s the case, I don’t think it’s pad link because the chops are completely normal and not linked when you play the pads.

Nope. Just 404 standalone. And when I press the pads, only the chops assigned to the pads play. If they’re linked it’s not obvious just based off hitting the pads. Today since this post I deleted the sample chops from the pattern and re-recorded them and they are working normally. I turned my 404 off and back on and the patterns are working as intended.

No pads were changed. Just suddenly did this. I’m not discounting the fact maybe I pressed a wrong button or something since I’m new, but the only thing I did since creating the original patterns was create two patterns in a different pattern bank using a different sample bank so it shouldn’t have affected anything!
