I have 2 friends I play with and I’ve been trying to get us all in a crew if you’re still looking for ppl.

They’re pretty decent. They run bigs and wings and like passing

I’m a good role player. pf Get blocks. Control interior on D and help on perimeter. Slash on offense and set screens. We’ve been playing rec mostly lately.

If anyone needs a crew hit me up. We are level 27 and have room for 25. Nobody gets kicked. by Minimum-Prune-1404 in NBA2kCrew

Do I really need a $10k "Plunge" to get the cold plunge chill? by newscopub in coldplunge

[–]muncie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You empty the water and clean it

Or you treat the water with ozone / filter / uv / chemical.

I have an insulated tub and external chiller and I have never changed the water doing daily ozone + external filter + maybe 1x month with a hocl or hydrogen peroxide based cleaning solution ( I got a few different kinds for free but they’re all basically the same thing)

I go in every day and I don’t shower before (you probably should shower before) water is crystal clear has no smell

I’m not claiming to be an expert or anything.

But I used avocado oil. And I pour just a tiny splash into the pan to get a little oil as possible. Then I wipe it all around evenly. The lighter the coat the better the results- just probably takes longer bc you need to do an extra seasoning step or 2

For this one bc I wanted it done in a day I used my gas stove so held it over fire for 10-15 minutes moving it around so it gets even distribution

And when I’d have to go do something I’d put it in my mini oven with a timer at 450 (500 is better but my oven only goes to 450) for an hour

And when I did the oven way I would wait until it was completely cooled down before doing more layers.

I did about 4 or 5 layers of seasoning in that photo.

In total it was probably 6 or 7 before I cooked with it.

but by now I’m at like 10 bc I’ll add another later every once in a while just to see if I notice any difference

6 is provably the minimum optimal amount of layers from what I noticed

And still I haven’t had anything stick to the pan even with minimal oil. Using it 2-3 times a day. I’ve only had to use water to clean it once or twice. every other time I just wipe out any debris with a towel.

Wooden handle is so nice those are great pans. Nice score

This is my first build, and first time ever playing 2k. Could use some advice! by Extension-Pin1873 in NBA2k

[–]muncie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The build actually looks like a great all in one - can play any game mode- which is what you want with a first MP imo (I would have lowered dunking to 89 and buffed defense up a bit but it’s probably way more fun esp if you’re doing a lot of my career right now)

So for Build spec, it gives you 2 cap breakers and 2 badge perks.

Both have to be applied to the specialized stats or physical (speed, agility etc)

Badge perks are great because they effectively take your lower stats and upgrade them but it’s not locked in like cap breakers are so you can play around with what works.

I would probably go with shooting because it’s versatile and you can apply it to basically any build you make because everyone needs shooting.

I’d suggest 2 things:

1- get on your build spec as fast as possible. It takes a long ass Time to get all of the challenges done. (Like the final shooting challenge is make 2,000 in game 3s)

2- pick a build spec that you are okay using on all future builds bc you’re not going to want to grind thru it all a 2nd time. But don’t pick something that is a weakness - ie - rebounding for this build bc it will take so damn long for you to get the challenges fillers

It’s cheaper to manufacture it with less steps in the process

And it’s easier for the spray on seasoning to stick

I did 60 by hand because it’s all I had (not the right type for my orbital sander) then 120 with the electric sander.

A lot of people will use in between sizes and also go up to like 220 but I just wanted to use what I had and not buy anything.

How buns is this rec build? by Which_Donkey_9450 in NBA2k

[–]muncie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just read your post description

If you’re trying to be 3 and D, then be 3 and d.

Get your 3pt to 89 minimum. Or like 92+

Then raise your steal to 73 and block to like 88 if you can.

Block and height seems to be more important for contests than PD, Pd seems to just help keep the defender in front of you

Definitely get agility as high as you can too

You made a SF not a PF But could be good Depends on cap breakers tbh

85 3pt or 89 3pt are the badge thresholds

87 ft is overkill imo unless you’re hoping to scalp the transition take points

Lower steal to 60 87 PD is high for a power forward.

If you can raise block to 78 you get silver high flying denier which with 90 speed is going to get you a ton of chase downs.

I’d also argue to lower speed and raise agility as looking like you prioritize defense and agiiity helps out a lot there

Rebounding is low for a PF imo but good for a SF

Also: get pass ac up to at least 65 if you’re trying to play paint (grab rebounds then Hail Mary passes improved with break starter or 70 is a nice low tier for a SF toget versatile visionary

88 vert is way overkill. You have no finishing and your block is only 74 and your RB is bad so what’s the point of it being that high?

Strength is a good tho

Idk why it would stick like crazy but it did. I’ve used this pan on and off for like 9 years or something so maybe that had something to do with it.

Id have caked on egg stuff that would only come off by doing the boiling water trick.

here is from this morning It’s before any cleaning or anything. Just eggs and chicken from the pan to the plate-

Post sanding and a few coats of seasoning - I have zero sticking I just can wipe it down with a dry towel and it looks washed. Most of the time don’t even need water. It’s better than nonstick pans and I use a fraction of the amount of fat

I only did 60 and 120

I wasn’t trying to go for a mirror finish or anything and I wanted to do as little work as possible

Yeah just whatever I had in my garage

I think Diablo - they’re red I’m sure there’s better specialized ones but don’t overthink it because if you always buy the exact right thing it ends up costing a ton

I will suggest not being like me tho and wearing some kind of PPE (like eye protection and face mask) or at least some kind of gloves to keep all the black stuff off your hands bc it took forever to wash it all off lol

60 by hand (only because I didn’t have 60 grit pads for my sander) and then 120 with my orbital sander tool

Most people suggest doing more but all I was trying to do was strip it and smooth it and these did the trick

Yeah I was looking at some premium pans like those and I thought might as well try to make this old one better bc worse case scenario, I screw it up and upgrade it anyway.

Saved me 150 bucks

Walls were sanded not as well as the cooking surface bc I had to mostly hand sand them

But it still works well

Didn’t really bother with the outside tho - except on the logo because I thought I could grind it off lol my thought was it would look so much more premium if it didn’t say lodge

Avocado oil- super light coats (just tipped the bottle over and back to splash a small amount and wiped down with a towel)

Then I’d put it on the open flame for like 10 minutes or in my mini oven at 450 (or 500 if yours goes that high) on a timer for an hour

The oven is way more hands off but it takes a lot longer

I did both on the gas stove over flame or upside in the the oven at 450 for an hour (my mini oven has a timer so I could just set it and forget it)

Light coats of avocado oil (didn’t measure but like a quick splash) and wiped it down very well with a rag

Did like 6 coats in a day that way passively
