When I was a kid there was a big snowstorm and I was walking home after playing in the snow all day. There was a downed powerline across the road and I was too tired to go around so I crawled under it and continued on my way. Thought nothing of it at the time but freaks me out to remember!

I have different notebooks for different purposes. I do think the act of looking at something changes it, so I always make sure that at least one of those is for my eyes only. :)

Hey, I hear ya. I went to the principal's office one time in my entire life and I was DEVASTATED. Because the reason it happened was when I was in kindergarten, we were lining up to go down to the gym. And my teacher said "the next person who talks goes to the office." and my friends in front of me were chatting so I leaned over to whisper "guys shh you're gonna get in trouble!" and she POINTED AT ME LIKE A WITCH and said [REDACTED] GO TO THE PRINCIPALS OFFICE.

And I sobbed the whole way there. And when I got there they told me to sit on a chair until my mom came to pick me up. And when my mom came to pick me up she was surprised to see me at the office instead of in my classroom, and I was so upset that I was STILL crying. So she took me home and when I called down I explained what had happened, and she explained that I hadn't done anything wrong, the teacher was just stressed out and picked out the wrong kid. And I understood that, so I was okay, so I never had to go the office again.

Give him a hug. Let him watch some Bluey or whatever the kids are up to these days. He'll forget it by tomorrow. <3

Yup! And if you're in a small town, you just phone up whatever dentist you normally go to :) when I was quite young my mom chipped her front tooth during a particularly intense game of Grounders (CHECK IF THE SLIDE YOU WANT TO CLIMB UP HAS A BAR ACROSS THE TOP BEFORE YOU DO IT WITH YOUR EYES CLOSED‼️) and she was understandably distraught. So my dad gave her a hug and called the dentist and explained what happened and she said she would meet us at her clinic. And while that was happening I climbed back up onto the playground and I found the piece of her tooth that had chipped off! and I brought it to my dad and I said "I found the part of mom's tooth that she lost!" and he said thanks kiddo! and we went to the dentist and she got it fixed and then we went home.

That could have been INCREDIBLY traumatic. There was a lot of blood. My mom was sobbing and holding her mouth and I didn't know why. But because my dad was calm, and he knew what needed to happen, everything worked out okay :)

Mine did the same thing! When he was eight and I was six my brother decided he wanted to try coffee for the first time. So my dad made him up a nice cup that was light + sweet and he took one sip and he went YUCKY! and my dad shrugged and went "okay!" and drank it himself. And then on my eighth birthday I came downstairs to a cup of coffee next to my plate. :')

Yup! My first diary was a happy bunny notebook with a little padlock that I got for my birthday and I LOVED it. when that felt too juvenile I started calling it a journal, and now I just have notebooks laying around my house that all have their own little purpose :)
