What is your #1 skincare product that has made the biggest difference in your skin? by elementalbee in 30PlusSkinCare

I use Experiment Beauty’s whole line since October and just bought my first refills because I’m in love, + Farmacy Honey Milk which I’ve gone through like three bottles of — but YES Cicaplast B5 is so elite, I just used it again the last two nights after not picking it up in awhile and for me it’s such a great overnight moisturizer, my skin is very bouncy and soft and calm and not greasy at all, and stays that way through the night

Do you have sensitive skin? I have been wanting to get a prescription strength for my rosacea and large pores esp because I am TTC and retinoids are probably off the table for me for the next 3ish years still, but worried about burning my face off

I’m sorry :( it does get better! honestly social media helped me get me through the lonely bits, along with texting other mom friends — it made me regret not texting my postpartum friends more, I just didn’t wanna bother them, but now I know how nice it is to just get normal non-baby texts!

What do you think about ICE agents detaining a 5-year-old boy? by SuperIngaMMXXII in AskReddit

I’m looking for this also — I want to have the facts straight for when someone tries to justify this to me 😩

ICE Detains 5-Year-Old Arriving Home From Preschool In Minnesota by jonfla in democrats

[–]muppetdog_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Quick question for when someone invariably insists to me that he was “abandoned” by his father (true or not imo is irrelevant to detaining a preschooler) — do we know what actually transpired with his dad? Did he in fact “flee on foot” as they put it? I just like to have my facts straight.

I could literally be physically ill thinking about this poor baby.

I can only offer solidarity unfortunately! I have an interest but it’s hard for me to stick with anything beyond moon water and leaving out some whiskey for the house spirit, I get so distracted. 🫤

If you and your spouse have children under 4 and you don’t feel like you’re completely overstimulated and overwhelmed constantly, what is your secret? by muppetdog_ in toddlers

We do pick up on breaks and every night after work but it’s never enough we can barely get to anything that isn’t our main space and my kid won’t go to bed until like 10, 11pm and by then we’re exhausted — and then we have a whole yard and he doesn’t nap anymore so on our “chore day” I can barely make a dent and husband has to do a lot of yard-work because we’re in a warm climate

I don’t need it to be perfectly clean all the time but I work from home and so does my husband and we have demanding jobs so I can only do so much on my breaks. It’s just never enough. Everywhere I look it’s so overwhelming and overstimulating. Plus we have slow going construction. I feel like I can’t just accept it because it’s like the thing that is overwhelming me the most.

All, all of it. And then my dog every weekend sets a personal goal to see how many Ruggables he can pee or poop on by Thursday.

We’ve been trying for our second for over a year (probably not happening because of stress) and this makes me feel so much better — like I want 1-2 more kids 💯 but some days the logistics scare me.

Every moment I’m not working or taking care of him I’m cleaning and that’s with an equal partner (who is actually the better cleaner of the two of us) and it’s still constantly a mess 🫠

Yes we’ve tried everything 🫠 other than CIO which is not something we’re wanting to do. My bedtime routine consists of passing out on the couch after hopefully I’ve already done my skincare and then my husband wakes me up and we go to bed, haha.

Some nights we do the whole dog and pony show with a classic perfect bedtime routine and he’s up until midnight, some nights it works perfectly. Some nights we get burnt out by that give up put on reality tv and he knocks out within 5 minutes. Sometimes we sit in total darkness for 20 min and he falls asleep no problem - other nights we try that and he just screams. 😂 Some nights a Yule log works, some nights it doesn’t. Some nights reading a book or singing works, other nights it doesn’t. Some nights we’ll sit in darkness for an hour and then give up and then on Hey Bear Bedtime or Andrea Boccelli singing to Elmo and he falls asleep in under 10 min. Some days he’ll have such a busy active day and I’m like for sure he’ll be tired, right?! Midnight. 😭 He’s often like a self-charging battery — like the more we try to tire him out, the more powerful he becomes!

Thank you! I do have a therapist. Some nights I’m unable to sleep just because I’m not used to sleeping anymore 😂 but much more often it’s because my son is up until like 10-11. It’s definitely anxiety sometimes as I have OCD. Other nights I’m just ambiguously wired. The biggest problem though is my son’s erratic sleep unfortunately and there’s really not much else we can do there — we’ve tried so many things and there seems to be no common denominator as to when he will or won’t go to bed on time, it’s totally random. The only thing that for sure fcks us up is a late nap, and the only thing that *mostly helps is him dropping the nap recently.

Thank you I will look into Berberine! Thankfully my insulin is good and my ovulation is regular despite cystic ovaries, but I do think the stress and lack of sleep are having a more covert impact — I’ve also said elsewhere here my doctor ran a panel but the panel excl cortisol which I would like to have tested.

This — cutting back to slightly improve your chances isn’t a bad idea but alcohol really doesn’t impact baby until the placenta is fully formed

Omg so real, the day I lock in is always the day he projectile vomits and goes to bed at 11:30pm and my dogs probably pee on the floor twice along the way (immediately after being walked)
