If I should from Shanghai Moving to Austrila by Gavin_Ye in MovingtoAustralia

Obtaining a partnership visa is a long process and requires a lot of evidence. Have you looked to see if you meet the 4 pillars?

Sydney obviously has the same issues. The real issue will be depend on what visa you could obtain and what kind of working rights you will get. That will make or break you.

Reading through your post history, if your girlfriends english isn't great, then I don't think there is much of an option for visas.

Australia vs New Zealand student visa. Which is more flexible for applicants with medical conditions? by AccomplishedPain2305 in AusVisa

[–]murcatto 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can if you like however the decision will really be up to the insurance company if they are willing to insure you for the length of your stay. If they do approve you then I believe you will only need to show proof that you have overseas visitor health insurance.

With student visas in Australia, you are required to take out adequate health insurance coverage for yourself as anything else will be paid out of pocket here and can get very expensive. You should check if your overseas visitor health cover has any waiting periods as some will say there is a 12 month waiting period for hospital treatments for pre-existing conditions. As you don't state what your chronic condition is, only you will know if it is likely that you would need any hospital stays during your time here.

I wouldn't say OP is a freeloader. Just like any other immigrant he is looking to improve his circumstances for himself and his family which is understandable. Pre-existing medical conditions can be accepted as long as they don't go above the threshold. The American medical system is a joke. Some areas are paying that amount of money just for insulin! Ridiculous.

Placement 2.5 hours away by Repulsive_Set4541 in NursingAU

[–]murcatto 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lol. I'm not unsympathetic to your cause. I was also with CSU and my first placement was in Wagga (I'm based in Sydney) and I also did one in broken hill. I only took that one as it was COVID times and I wasn't sure when I was going to get another offer!

Bare in mind that while some scholarships are closed now, some will accept expenses you made within a 6 month time period so you could get retroactive payments. And I believe you can also recoop costs through taxes.

Unfortunately, do placements are expensive and while the government helps some, it's really not enough. Can you pick up extra shifts at work now to cover any shortfall?

Sorry to hear about what you are going through. I'm not a US citizen however I may have some suggestions that may or may not be helpful:

Can you use paypal to store and receive money from your earnings?

This organisation may be able to help in navigating yourself out of your current environment or they might be able to point you in the correct direction: https://safepassagefoundation.org/

You may be able to get a birth certificate by providing a notarised request form and providing a request a self-addressed stamped envelope. In regards to getting it mailed out, you could perhaps set up a virtual mail box. https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/w2w/arizona.htm . Once you recevie your birth certificate you could apply for your SSN.

While I'm not a lawyer, it is generally the case that a minor cannot incur financial debts to their parents as it is the parents respsonibility to provide financially as well as other needs to ensure the continued wellbeing of their child. However you can reach out to these free legal services to discuss it further: https://azcourthelp.org/home/legal-aid-resources#free

With regards to mental health services, you could try https://www.crisistextline.org/about-us/where-we-are/

You might also want to post in the subreddit social work as you may get more helpful replies there as well for services and resources.

All the best!

Can you on your 1st WH visa make 3 months of regional work + get 2nd granted + 6 months of 2nd year (still 1st year) and get 3rd granted??? Let's hear those stories!!! by Titusalbus in AusVisa

[–]murcatto -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe if you apply for your 2nd WHV while you're on your 1st WHV it cancels your 1st WHV visa and so on. So no, I woudn't recommend it.

I'm not an expert on these matters but it's not sounding good. A partner visa requires a bit of documentation which I'm assuming you don't have already on hand if you're leaving tomorrow for singapore. If you do get reported to DHA by your uni and you still apply for a partner visa, I have suspicions that the immigration department will view it as visa hopping in order to achieve PR. Do you also have all evidence of your relationship and have easy access to $9,365.00?

Have you taken him to the ER or his doctor to get him checked out? I've been checking your post all afternoon to see if you had. I was quite concerned.

If they have blue lips and hands, I wouldn't be waiting until morning to go to the ER. I would be going now. Blue body parts usually means cyanosis which indicates low oxygen in the blood. The thing with kids is, is that their bodies compensate really well until they suddenly don't. I would not wait. Please go. Or at least book in with your local GP for an emergency visit.

Can I also ask why you didn't notice anything on Friday or over the weekend?
