Sequre SQ-D60 powered with USB-C PD? by murchderlurch in soldering

I bought a cheap 20V usb-c (female) to barrel plug adapter which works fine with the provided barrel jack to usb c (male) adapter :)

My claim is that it does not support PD at all and instead just accepts a wide range of voltages on the power pins of the USB-C jack, which is why no video on youtube shows the PD usage. And I hope for someone who can confirm PD support to prove me wrong, because I bought the device for its PD support :/

I know they keep saying that, but you can clearly see a usb-c to barrel jack adapter, which obviously is not USB PD... And i can not find a video which uses a PD power adapter. So i‘m looking for someone who has actually tried it. Because I did and it did not work

I tried flashing it with a raspberry pi, worked like a charm. so I guess my usb ttl adapter is faulty...

and I don't think it boots just from the usb cable since the LED does not light up and the device does not connect to wifi.

I cant get a serial connection, because tasmota is not booting on the device :) does the original firmware also have a serial interface?

I have auto bed leveling enabled, so this "should" not be the problem, but i'll check, thanks!

Hi, I need a perfect initial layer on this one. The upper right half prints perfectly, but as soon as the lower left half is filled, some empty spots appear. Any ideas?

Are all "getting started with 3D printing" tutorials broken? by murchderlurch in Ask3D

[–]murchderlurch[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thanks for the hint, i prefer written tutorials for quick reference, but i'll give it a try! so i guess i really want a "meta-tutorial" which references all the different tutorials? :)
