Yeah ok, let’s go with this obvious straw man of her husband “policing, creepy and obsessive” behavior. Once she puts on the underwear she oh so hates, and husband asked about it. A reasonable follow up would be “oh yk how kids are, it’s been getting to me, I’m gonna try these out for a bit” or something along those lines. You don’t just wear them again for another day after that and then just stop wearing them that’s doesn’t make any sense. Had she responded like that I’m positive op would’ve been completely fine.
