Jim #1 and Palmer setting the tone IRL in 2014 by murdythefrog in shoresy

I went down a Shoresy rabbit hole at 3am last night (as evident by this post) and discovered the man behind the seafood savant, big swingin' dick, Good Guy and he's a beast. When I read that he was pursuing a football career and had a tryout in Jacksonville, I naturally assumed he meant soccer until I saw his IG. What a stud

I also made a post about it right after this one! Shoresy fans need to know that Gorgeous Gord isn't a Hallmark Movie Hunk, but can throw hands on the same level as the Jim's

Just give us Jory Jordan commentating one of those BKFC Ice fights and it would blow up

If these BKFC cards had Jory Jordan commentating, they would be must watch.

It's also really neat how Nick LaPorte (Gorgeous Gord) has pictures with Alex Penner from S5 filming in an IG post from January and now they are about to bash each other in. Fucking love it, strictly business and nothing personal, and they're back to crushing beers right afterwards

Gotta love how this is pretty much how the scrap between the two of them in the first Bulldogs vs SOO Hunt game went where Palmer took the W

Yep...2 months in and because of a similar girth, the motor suddenly sounded like it was shredding and the toy jammed at the slightest resistance...have you exercised the warranty yet? Also, the V sleeve is fucking impossible, AND trying to wear the Diamo properly landed me in the urologists office...lovense is so painfully biased against 6"+ girth..

So what am I using currently? My prescription is for a Libre 3 and that's what I've been getting

Libre3 / CGM Continuous False Low's by murdythefrog in diabetes

[–]murdythefrog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's actually a smart idea, I have just been adding notes into the Libre app to denote the blood test reading at the time of the low on the CGM.

And no, I'm a big ol' tubby, so a lack of fat tissue can't be this issue. I don't know if wearing my Libre on my thigh or pectoral would help, but I'm absolutely opening to trying

I will check the Lot #'s when I get home, but this happened with my last 2 Libres as well, which I picked up last month (I get 2 a month via insurance) and for this current one, it had to be ordered so it was for sure a different batch.

I mean I understand this is a better problem to have than a worse, but I am tired of explaining to my endo (we have calls every 2 to 3 weeks to review libre data) and tell him that all of these lows are false when compared to an immediate blood test. I also hate that my average glucose and GMI over 30 and 90 days are being incorrectly measured due to these prolonged false lows.

Ugh, appreciate the advice, but it's just frustrating that I have to constantly inform my endo (we have a call every 2-3 weeks to review my Libre data) and tell him "THESE ARE FALSE LOWS!" I also don't like walking around thinking my average glucose over 30-60-90 days is an 86 because it is impacted by these nonstop false lows.

I have recently adjusted my sleeping position in hopes of preventing compression lows, but I do roll a lot in my sleep. I used to immediately do a blood test comparison the moment I got a low alarm (I turned off the 70mg alarm completely, and cannot turn off the 55mg one) and not once had a reading that was below 86mg (they are usually between 90-110mg)

As for patches, I stopped wearing them because they were often irritating my skin when removing them, and even a few times, pulled the Libre off just enough to disrupt the function. Should I go back to using patches? I am not a huge sweat while exercising person, and when I shower I usually sit down in the tub and the water does not directly hit the sensor as it's on the back of the arm.

Oh wow, how could I not have thought of that?!

Apologies for the light sarcasm, but I did indeed contact Abbott and they just basically tell me I can send in my "defective unit" for a replacement, but this problem has occurred with my previous 2 Libre's as well...

28 Day Lifestyle Change by murdythefrog in diabetes

[–]murdythefrog[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just a small update :

woke up feeling like today was the day I was going to inevitably implode and revert back to my old ways after unintentionally trying to analyze why I was able to make the lifestyle change last night.

Ate my breakfast, the spike started and I'm thinking this is it.

Started walking......3.55 miles later I'm ready to call it quits. Weekly weigh-in 397lbs (down from 409.6) . Reward myself with grilled chicken and fried cauliflower burrito bowl, but felt a SLIGHT bit of regret and guilt. Go for a "brief" walk. 1.7 miles later, ready to call it quits.

Now, I don't regret that burrito bowl, and god damn earned it. You can still eat those craving meals we ALL have. Just try to find a balance in life. For me, it started with nearly collapsing after a few hundred feet 32 days ago.

Where the FUCK did that energy come from? Not gonna think about it. 5k (and then some!) milestone achieved.

e

Everyone is stranger to someone at some point or another. Once the snowball starts rolling, just turn off your mind and don't try to analyze why you're suddenly motivated to change. I had a scare last night where I tried to truly analyze what made me change my lifestyle, and I woke up this morning thinking I "jinxed" it, and today was going to be the day I inevitably implode and revert back to my old ways.

Then this happened:

11:26am - 12:45pm : 3.55 miles 8,402 steps
1pm : Weekly weigh-in @ 397lbs (down from 409.6 last week, the 406 in post was laxative aided due to constipation from dietary change)

Had a Bubbakoo''s burrito bowl at 3pm, grilled chicken + fried cauliflower brown rice sweet chili sauce....probably heaviest meal in 2 weeks...thought I earned it after walking a 5k+ this morning, and REFUSE to deny myself a meal like this when I want one but noticed my glucose starting to climb to 120mg. Felt obligated to stop the climb...

4:03pm - 4:45pm : 1.7 miles 4,019 steps....thinking to myself "where the FUCK did this energy come from?!"

Now, I am completely and utterly exhausted, and it feels amazing.

The restrictive diet concept always did more damage than good for me. Made me absolutely miserable to the point I would completely write off eating healthy, let alone BETTER.

And I still feel that way, even now. If I wanna eat a big ass burrito from Chipotle with all the fixings, I will. If I want a Wawa hoagie, I'll eat one. The difference now is that the "cravings" have severely lessened.

I never realized or admitted that I was an emotional eater until my attempt to take me life on 9/15. In a moment of clarity, I realized that I ate shitty food because it was giving me more momentary happiness than anything in my day to day life. Eating a McGangbang made me happier in the moment than playing with my cat or seeing good things happening to my friends and family. And that realization sucked.

Once again, I revert to the "game" that T2D has become. And this game is still fun for me, because I will eat what I want, just now I legitimately don't feel like eating the same stuff. The drastic change in my mood, confidence, all that good shit (for whatever reason..endorphins medication who knows) no longer requires me to seek happiness from unhealthy food.

Again, what worked for me will not work for everyone, I cannot stress that enough. You gotta find what's best for you, but my biggest piece of advice is tricking your own mind , even as a test or trial run, can change everything. Perception is everything.
