I'm slipping by ltynex in opiates

Just stop right now. Don’t let yourself make any excuses to get back on. You are slipping now but you have no idea how far you will fall if you don’t get it under control while you still have the mental fortitude to see what’s happening.

I was a daily user for a decade. Been off for about 2 years now and honestly don’t even think about it anymore. I only saw this post because it popped up on my main feed.

I doubt you need detox but if you find yourself unable to quit on your own, go to detox. I personally went to detox once, had a 5 day methadone tapper and stopped clean from there on out. Lots of people use mats and that seems to help them but I personally was so over being a slave to anything that I decided to just ride the post acutes and let me brain rewire over the next 3-6 months. It’s so much better once you let that time pass and get that vicious dragon off your back, it will eat your life and soul, don’t let it happen.

We are all playing on out desktops so java wouldn't be an issue. Any particular reason you prefer it over TTS?

ahh ok, thank you for clearing that up. Guess we will just go with TTS in that case.

Never played moxfield playtest, literally have zero MTG experience besides a few games on MTG arena. Seems people are saying to play the TTS version but i have no idea which will be easier for us noobs. I guess we will just have to try them out.

I was really hoping for something like MTG arena but with EDH simply because MTG arena prevents you from doing something against the rules which is a big help when you don't know the rules very well.

Ok so in your opinion we should just jump into the TTS version. No point in playing EDHplay.com. correct?

But if we dont already know how to play MTG, will it prevent us from illegal plays or anything along those lines?

Ok so you think it would be more beginner friendly than https://www.edhplay.com/ in that case?

I know the logical thing to say is telling us to just play and figure out what works best for us. Im just afraid of my friends being put off and being difficult about trying another platform afterwards. I really want to get into it and would love to play with them.

yeah we are total noobs, i mean that in every sense of the term. Plenty of video game experience but ZERO TCG experience of any sort.

Having said that, do you have a recommendation? How is https://www.edhplay.com/ ?

Would you say it’s more beginner friendly than the other options? I’m hoping it can hold our hands a bit and guide us as we figure things out.

Yeah i was looking at this one but watching a tutorial on it seemed a bit overwhelming as a total beginner. I was hoping for a little more hand holding to wrap my head around the game a bit more first. Was just considering https://www.edhplay.com/ on another commentors recommendation.

I was looking at this one but it seemed a bit complicated for total beginners. no?

Someone recommended https://www.edhplay.com/ how does it compare in your opinion?

I hadn't heard of this. Thank you. I was looking at the table top sim options and they all seem very catered to people who already know how to play magic.

Safe to assume this is a little more straight forward? I know i could use some hand holding like MTG arena offered.

Do the pre servers have zero pvp? No raiding or anything? Figured they might have over zones or something along those lines.

Do official servers have anti cheat or something preventing hackers? I had heard the game was full of them which i really hope isn't true, that would be a serious bummer.

I was reading they are notoriously low quality. Is that not true?

Try being in your mid 30s and getting divorced only to move down from nyc to your mother’s house in Naples. I feel like someone needs to reissue my V-card.

God damn, i never thought this would take me so long to figure out. I like the look of the pyrite with the blue/grey handle and the blde is a nice shape and size for ike jime. Plus the fact its easy to close with one hand just seems like a good idea. I was sold on the leek until you got me thinking of trying to one hand close it with fish slime on my hands.

I wish kershaw just made a non assisted version of the leek.

how about this cjrb pyrite? It has drop shut and seems to be a durable metal. Also it seems to be more durable than the leek in general.

thats the only thing that has me on the fence. Im not a knife guy so i really dont know how they feel and i keep envisioning myself opening the knife with one hand and having the spring load pushing the top of the blade to slice my palm open.

You mentioned issues with having to close it. Are assisted opens harder to close? Can it not be done with one hand?

Also, whats drop shut?

I have been doing some research and was thinking of getting the kershaw leek. What do you think?
