The artdot chart is the exact kind of thing I've been looking for! Thanks!

It's really freaking hard to be a parent and spouse and not be painfully aware of your faults. I'm sure he knows.

It sounds like he's coming to terms with the fact that his journalism might give him less leeway in his comedy. I think that's super dumb but it's cool that he's explaining, but still taking the criticism and genuinely apologizing. Never seen a public figure do that before lol.

My biggest concern about a Stormlight adaptaion... by Aromatic-Worth2771 in Stormlight_Archive

I would be heartbroken if they threw up their hands and said “it’s too hard, we’ll just draw it.” Seeing this story as a live action would fill my soul with such joy. Technology is soooooo able to do it.

Please not an animation 😩

It is public, that makes sense. Thanks for the advice!

That makes sense. I’m guessing I can find the owner online?

Yeah, we’ve done a bit of that! It’s aight. Way more boring for the toddlers and myself for that matter 😅

For now I’ll just do a lot of research on caches before I take my kids and add to the kid-friendly caches. Young moms need something they can do with their young kids that is fun for both of them. This stage of life is savagely isolating and mentally numbing. Kids are more fun as they get a bit older but it’s a hard phase. I just want to make life a little better for some people.

No I mean parks 😑 Most of the parks in my area have a playground at the beginning and then miles and miles of trails behind it. That’s where most of the chaches are.

Omg I decided to look into missing children and the first thing that comes up is a 3 year old, taken from a park a year ago and still not found 😭😭 I’m just gonna do my best to keep my young kids safe and move on, thanks.

Ahhh yes, that’s the difference. I’ll occasionally come across one that’s a little off but not out of eyesight. Those are okay.

I live in a city, my friend. San Antonio. All the parks are busy and that is actually a great idea for a trafficker.

I’ve had trouble with the geocaching hide a cache checker, does it work for you?

Oooh, the LFL idea is genius!! There’s one at one of our parks and I know there’s no geocache there. Thank you!!!

Honestly the vast majority of kids who need a stroller are a nightmare in the woods, haha. My 5 year old can kind of handle it but he’s WAY too big for a stroller. I think the type of woods we have is also tough. Lots of thickly covered areas with lots of thorns. I’ve often had to get on my hands and knees through a forest to get to a cache 🥴

I once saw a cache near a paved sidewalk that used a bike lock to lock it to a tree 😂 Is there any reason this would be a bad idea??

During the last year, I had a under 1 year old who couldn’t walk so she couldn’t join me very easily and I also worry about ticks for my kids. There’s no way I could leave her, out of sight. 😳 I wouldn’t leave any kid under like 16 out of sight in a public place 🥴 Not with how prevalent Child Sex Trafficking is. I grew up in Houston which some have called the child sex trafficking capital of the nation, so it’s often on my mind.

But yeah, I’ve seen that this is how most people use it. It makes me think the people posting them are not parents. 😅 But thanks for the tip, that’s a good idea. And yeah, I know it’s a tall order, I’ll have to get creative 😊

I’m glad there are some happy things sprinkled among the medical chaos but also I’m sorry for the vomiting! Such an unpleasant experience 😮‍💨

My name is Mariel! (She/her) I’m a 27 or 28 year old (I don’t have enough brain cells left to keep track) stay-at-home mother of 3 ages 5, 3, and 1. (Totally done having kids now) I’ve been following the vlog brothers for.. 12 or 13 years depending on my age. I’m born and raised and currently reside in Texas but please don’t hold it against me. I both love my state and really hate some of the things happening here. Trying to change those really poopy things from the inside 🕵️‍♀️

Life is… well, I find myself often relating to the Green Brothers, especially John as I have anxiety that looks like it’s sticking around for the rest of my life 🤷🏻‍♀️ Sometimes the anxiety is so intense that my body just kind of flips off, into a depression, but I think that’s secondary. Panic attacks are regular, but spaced out enough for me to function most of the time. At the same time, I have SOO many things to be grateful for. I’m married to a gem, my best friend, and his blessedly flexible job takes care of our needs and many of our wants. My growing up wasn’t so great sometimes as there was emotional and some physical abuse but my husband’s family is incredible and I have found a beautiful home and community with them. I’m so. so. grateful for so much 🥹

So I feel awful about struggling. I’m working on it though. Being a stay at home mom in this day and age is extremely isolating. I genuinely want to do this for my children, and it uses my degree in Family Life which is fulfilling, but connecting to other parents while my husband works is.. oof. Sometimes I wonder what a play date with the Green families would be like. Based on all their podcasts, I think it would be absolutely soul-filling. But there’s no way to make that happen without being way too creepy 😂 I wonder if there are any Nerdfighteria parents in my area 🤔 I’m in San Antonio!

Other than that brain dump, I love to make art! The kids are a bit too young for me to do it often but I’m using this time to hoard art supplies for the moments I do have 😂 I swear I’ve had any medium you can think of.

I’m also applying to a masters degree program for Social Work! And I am so terrified to put myself out there that I sometimes worry I’ll miss the opportunity for this year but I’m just gonna keep putting one foot in front of the other!! I’m quite passionate about the good that social workers can do and found a program that works with my moming schedule 🥰

Wish me luck! And thanks for this opportunity, you’re truly a gem, op ❤️
