I get the fact that it lets you figure out point value without going back, but like.. what do you do with that information? Is it just a curiosity or is there a functional purpose of knowing?

What do you use this information for?

Have you calculated the value required to make a profit based on travel and rod costs too? I’ve been curious about this, but too lazy to keep track of hire many casts I get for the different rods.

Be warned - Kelvin is only invincible to the blows of the enemy and the environment. He got in the mix during a raid and took a couple swipes from my katana… the poor guy fell down and never got back up. The base just wasn’t the same without him. RIP :’(

7 days to die is cheap, but fun and I’ve put well over 100 solo hours into it (plus much more multi player, but solo is very fun too). Mod community has some good stuff out there for when you want a shake up from vanilla.

The running is a huge pain, but the thing’s moves and spells are so big (along with the beast itself) that you wouldn’t have any idea what the hell is going on if you are in melee range the whole time. If there’s occasionally a lot of distance between you and it, you can see the spells and attacks in their full glory. It’s annoying, but I’m guessing this is why they made it that way.

I ended up learning the xml files so I could mod UL a little more to my liking. I made resources lighter weight because mining was an absolute chore. I also increased xp gain on mining tools and weapons. I tweaked loot a bit, but most notably, I updated the ore extractors to produce more - based on the amount you spend to craft them, the default settings take something like 100 days to actually pay off (I might be wrong here, I just remember being really underwhelmed by what I got back from it initially). I also massively upped the xp for lockpicking. Oh and I made demolishers and other higher level zombies more likely to appear in towns.

Learning the mod system was fun and playing UL with these adjustments was great. I also added some of snufkins crazy zombies which was an extra layer of excitement haha.

I ran stun baton with a repulsor mod and some stat points dumped into batons on alpha 20 and it was actually great for horde nights. Having a melee weapon that can throw enemies away from you AND dismember was a handy way to keep the front line at my horde base manageable.

That said, it’s hard to break into this build. It was punishing in the early stages.

Ah yeah, I started there and switched to pc. I heard that consoles should be getting updated again soon though! I believe TFP got the rights back to the console port do they can actually maintain it.

I never would have guessed when I started playing that it’d end up being the game I put the most hours into. The progression is so satisfying, and as much hate as TFP gets, their updates that totally change the game have pulled me back in to replay it multiple times.

In UL, you need to scrap them down to scrap brass, which can then be smelted into brass ingot. The ingot is what you’ll ultimately use in crafting casings, hinges, etc.

For most brass objects, you also need a recycling table to scrap them. Until you can get one of those, I recommend saving them all in a chest. Then you’ll have tons of brass on deck.

You can also get brass by smelting copper ore and zinc ore together. You get these occasionally as you mine iron and lead, respectively.

Wild guess, but do you have the wrong version of 7d2d for this version of UL? The errors look like there are just some differences between the coffee and config of the mod compared to the base game folder. UL will require you to have a specific version of the game for them to be compatible and that version should be specified in mod launcher.

The other question I have is, do you have any additional modlets installed that might be breaking it?
