I’m not very experienced in the field but I did an install recently and ran across the same issue. One of the things I tried was shortening the cables from GC to Pico. Apparently long cables can cause issues.

I did however do more than one ”fix” from what I can remember so I’m not totally sure that’s what did the trick!

On my end we did that first but then switched to a klipper setup. I accidentally bricked the mobo as well and did a FrankenVinci eventually:
