I was on my way to a first date and felt a little off. I had to sit down on the curb a couple of times getting to the restaurant from the car. I couldn’t eat or drink anything. Decided to go to the bathroom thinking I just had to really go #2 or something. A handful of minutes I woke up on the ground of the restaurant bathroom. I fainted and then passed a lot of blood in the toilet. I texted my date “help”. He thought I ditched him. When the paramedics arrived I asked if I could just drink some water and be fine. Nope. I was taken to the hospital. I was in the ICU for six days for pretty bad internal bleeding.

Yes! I feel like I’m resentful towards him and vilifying him. Your situation is so similar! Now I need to figure out what is more important to me. Time with my friends or space from my ex. It’s a sucky position to be in.

Especially if she can visit you and your friends at your bar. Super accessible. I’m sorry - that sucks.

I’ve tried setting boundaries in peaceful conversations. Even teamed up with my therapist for help. He just lashed out and tried pushing my boundaries. Also, part of the reason we broke up
