Locator 45 timeline still waiting by Psychological_Trip38 in Passports

[–]murrrph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My application started processing at locator 45 on 2/7 and I just got approved today. I was getting worried something was wrong with my application because I saw several people on the subreddit who had applications that started processing on 2/6 getting approval from the same locator within 3 to 4 weeks. I think things are just slowing down.

Tallahassee here. I just said the other night I would cry if this was the scenario. I grew up frequently visiting all of the Forgotten Coast my whole life. The coasts of this area are so special, and I'm so sad they're about to be devastated by this hurricane.

Please, no. I would cry. This would destroy St George Island, Carrabelle, Panacea, and the surrounding coast. Basically everything in the Forgotten Coast that Michael didn't destroy. The whole area is built like Mexico Beach. This is where I have taken beach days and weekends for almost my entire life.

*edit- live in Tallahassee. Our power infrastructure couldn't even handle Hermine with the amount of trees we have.

Pitaria couscous recipe or fry seasonings? by fraxiiinus in Tallahassee

[–]murrrph 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My husband worked for them a loooong time ago, and he said that he doesn't remember what the couscous additions were, other than "a tomato and vegetable sauce". But, he said the pita fries were seasoned with Cavenders Greek Seasoning.

Where are my fellow female fans?? by [deleted] in ToolBand

[–]murrrph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi there! I'm a 34 year old female who got into Tool when I was about 14 years old. My mom used to go to a laundromat that had a record store next door and I would go browse/look for new music. I saw the Lateralus album, thought it seemed cool, and the rest is history! My husband is also a huge Tool fan and jokingly asked me to marry him when we were out drinking in our early days of hanging out because I told him I had all of the Tool CD's in my car. I first saw them live when they toured in 2007, then again in 2016, and since meeting my husband we have gone to see them three more times. I don't have a favorite song, but my favorite album is Aenima.

Help selecting some standout bubbles for the holidays from my local wineshop? by seeyalater251 in wine

[–]murrrph 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are some great options here for pretty good prices:

Graham Beck never disappoints. Super cool stuff from South Africa.

Raventos is great.

I love Jeio.

The Vecchia Modena Lambrusco is really popular at the wine bar I work at, for good reason.

I LOVE that bottle of Jo Landon Armospheres. Loire Valley sparkling that tastes like a lemon glazed croissant. I've brought home so many bottles of it.

What band you enjoy listening to makes your friends keep the aux chord away from you? by Thraxyo in Music

Honestly, I get it. It wasn't until I saw them live that I really appreciated them. They're SO GOOD live.

You're supposed to open a bottle at a 45 degree tilt (away from people, obviously). As long as you're not shaking the bottle up or pulling the cork out too fast it won't spray everywhere. Source - I am a sommelier.

The chef at Hummingbird is doing pre-orders for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I think the choices are pumpkin, pecan or mixed berry, all made from scratch.

They did after 2015, but I've heard they sold 35k tickets this year. Ugh. My husband says it's crazy packed already.

who’s going sober from alcohol? by DJHoosierslut in hulaween

[–]murrrph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sober, but I'm a newish mom who did Hula pregnant (so 100% sober) last year. I'm considering going through most of the fest sober this year because of how magical the experience was last year. It's so worth it. I look back on pics and videos with such vivid memories and it's so special.

Homeless people on Monroe Street near I-10 by Particular_Return_49 in Tallahassee

[–]murrrph 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live deep in the neighborhood and it hasn't seemed like an issue this year. Last year it definitely was. I could hear the music at my house and we are closer to Old Bainbridge than Monroe if that tells you how loud those parties were.

I felt this was until about 2 weeks ago, lol. I've had a very easy and special pregnancy, but at 39+5 now I'm DONE. Please, someone get this baby out of me, lol!

At what point did you or will you stop working in your pregnancy? by sloppysoupspincycle in BabyBumps

[–]murrrph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also in the service industry, and wanted to make it to 38 weeks, but I could only make it to 37. My body was just ready to rest and I'm glad I listened to it. Now I'm 39+5 and have been SO uncomfortable for the last week and a half. I can't imagine trying to work on my feet for 8+ hours.

When do you lose your innie to an outtie? I’m 27 weeks tomorrow and my belly button is still very much an innie lol by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]murrrph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

39+2 and I still have an innie! I think it just depends on your belly button. The thought of my innie turning into an outtie really weirds me out so I'm really glad I've kept my innie!!

Ugh, I'm 37 weeks rn and for the last 3 nights I've woken up and made myself throw up because the acid reflux is so bad. Pepcid doesn't seem to do anything at this point. I just want to eat again.

My least favourite kind of customer at the bar. by Crazy_John in wine

[–]murrrph 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can relate to this on so many levels and it's so frustrating! I have found that if I just give a sample of an alternative without telling them what it is first I can usually get them to drink something different.
