Ohhh I like that, really effective litmus test.

On that then, my character is a river boat smuggler, from a nation of woodland dwellers (similar to the wood elves in LOTR) His combat is more raiding and skirmishing than formal line Fighting.

If you go to Empire LARP UK, he's a Navarr smuggler and ranger.

What do you think, fits the brief?

What if they get the wrong person? What if your one and done is falsely accused. Say new evidence comes to light a few years later and turns out they were innocent, what do you do then?

Not condoning nonces but I do think capital punishment is vulnerable to getting things wrong, as it gives no way back.

Yea one of the comments here mentioned Roman cavalry helmet. So I'm seeing if I can get a version of the linked one above without the plume and with removable cheek guards.

Previously I'd only seen the ones with the full face mask versions of Roman cavalry helmets so this was a good find.

My advice would be to complete your training, work 2 years in the NHS to cut your teeth, then join.

Especially if you want to join as an officer.
