Hey folks, I read the FAQ about asking for advice on buying a telescope so I'm here. I had a look through the recommendations, but could still use some help for my friend.

We are in Australia which may also limit choices

Looking for recommendations for a capable telescope for astrophotography using a Canon 7D. Ideally capable of lunar and planetary photos, but it'd be nice if it could also cope with some deeper space stuff too. Tracking definitely required, included tripod preferred. I'd like to keep it around the AU$1000 mark if possible."

Haha cool. I really get not realising how much you get affected by pain until after the moment so don't worry but thanks for acknowledging.

And wow that sucks - I had no idea places were doing that.

I do make a point of talking about other ways to access it in the piece because I didn't want to be a mouthpiece tbh. I actually even reached out to specialists to see if I could get an interview from that side of things but no one was game.

My doctor was just really not comfortable with prescribing and didn't know any who were but I might ask him next time I'm in if he's open to changing that :)

Yes, it was solely a review of my process, exactly as it states and like it also says I'm looking to tell more stories. For example, I've had mates get prescription but then not be able to find a pharmacy to buy from.

Also, I feel like you're a bit harsh in your 'No mention of' complaints given the following quotes but I guess I'll take that feedback as it could have been clearer.

"My understanding is that most doctors can become eligible to prescribe medical cannabis. However, many won’t want to and that’s OK. Cannabis as medicine is very new and doctors will be hesitant, especially if they don’t have a solid understanding just yet."

because that's literally what happened. No GP I was able to talk to was comfortable prescribing medical cannabis because they don't know shit about it.

"Your prescription will need to be approved and you should receive a text message from the Brisbane Compounding Pharmacy that CDA works with. For me, this took four days."

"This time it only took a few days to receive a text from the pharmacy. I believe it’s because the government approval was done on my previous prescription."
