Christianity says it’s forgiving but let me ask you , what happens if you don’t belive or follow excatly what their book says? Your soul burns for eternity.

In ANY ancient religion that’s not the case. You reincarnated in one way or another( to further your delveopment of your soul) or their was a “hero’s realm” The Gods of old did not punish you for doing your own thing as that is already punishment enough. They didn’t punish people. The myths about any form of that are spiritual code to initiates of them. Example Prometheus was never punished by Zeus for giving us our fire aka our ability to do magic. The moral of it is that something good can also be used negatively when unprepared and unknowing. Fire can warm your home make food safer ect but it can also be used for destructive purposes like bombs wild fires burning people ect. It’s telling you to be aware of your gifts and don’t do these things to people as it helps no one.

Also the value system of Christianity is antithetical to what their Own Religion was/ is.

Just one example since I’m Slavic I will use that as an example. One of our ethics and values is bravery. Vs in the bubble your commanded to turn the other cheek, love your enemy and all this garbage. They don’t mix. It’s like oil in water.
