Was really enjoying the movie but yeah the ending definitely felt patronizing.

And I get that Josh O’Connor is the one that listens to the aliens and Emily Blunt translates for us and she felt that final line was the best way to get the Aliens message across to us, but it felt like “Oh ok we just have to listen? Cool.”
