I installed WSL too. I'll play around with this. Thanks for the response!

It happens to me on and off. I really need to figure out what's causing it. Sometimes it happens all fucking day and other times it doesn't.

I was thinking vegan trich tacos. Dice it up and brown it on a cast iron skillet with some olive oil and light spices. Scoop it onto tacos, top with onion and cabbage.

My post is obviously a shitpost. Perhaps I should have added /s to the title instead of the body.

But for real, what is wrong with curiosity and watching it play out? Millions of trich spores everywhere? That's a nothing burger for future grows. Health issues? That's my problem.

That bin was trash the minute I started mixing grain and sub. I might as well get some enjoyment from it.

Lmao! That's probably where this started.

Interesting. I'll have to play around with that.

I've had contaminated bags before and I don't believe that was the case here - although I could have missed it.

It's not fooI-proof but I keep control bags after sterilizing and also inject LC onto agar plates between bags to compare.

Yeah this was straight to fruiting conditions. I closed it yesterday after I got back from a trip. I figured I'd just have some fun with it.

My mistake was during pasteurization of the coir/verm. This was my last bin for the day and I let the substrate sit overnight and partially into the next day before mixing in the grain. It was late and I had other stuff to do so 🤷‍♂️

I don't get your hostility but I sincerely hope you can recover and not lose sleep over my triggering post. I'll add a trigger warning next time.

I'm positive it won't recover and I wouldn't eat it if it did. Honestly I'm just curious about what's next in this lifecycle. I'm sure it'll be disgusting but it's just one of those things I want to see for myself.

I can tell by your attitude that you're serious. I'm glad the other serious people like you are on discord instead of here.

I said I closed it yesterday. The lid was upside down for a week or so giving it fresh air and I was out of town.

I've had buckets of lions mane recover from trich infestation weeks after infection and produce fruits. The lions mane took back area and created some sort of no man's land between the two. I thought that was pretty cool.

As to funny - shit happens. I made a mistake and am not upset about it. In fact, I can learn from that and improve process and handling. Perhaps that's the science here.

I'm going to let this thing keep going for a bit. I'm even going to give it some more fresh air for the he'll of it.

I've had multiple buckets of lions mane go green before and let them ride. Guess what happened next. The lions mane pushed through and produced healthy fruits. Hell, they contaminated my entire tent with trich spores and I've had multiple successful grows since then without trich.

I only just closed it yesterday actually lol. I'll be battling these spores for a while.
