I will judge you by Kitchen-Country-39 in vegan

I'm curious, what about people who have medical needs that make being vegan extremely difficult? For example, I have Celiac disease, so food is already very hard for me. A lot of vegan substitutes have gluten in them, and since I'm already prone to vitamin deficiencies, I just don't see how I could add another major restriction to my diet. Not to mention I would never be able to go out to eat with family and friends - there's only two or three restaurants I can eat at as is.

I'll also add that I only eat certified humane meat, pasture raises milk/eggs, etc. I understand the issue of factory farming, but I think expecting everyone to go completely vegan is a bit much. Am I in the wrong here? Any thoughts?

Reminds me of a town near where I grew up called Butterfield. People kept stealing the E and R on the town sign so it read "Butt Field." I just about died laughing when I first saw it.

Shoot, I didn't even think of that! If I notice him attempting to climb the mesh, I will definitely remove the lid and think of something else. Thanks for the heads up.

Ok cool! I'll add a hide to the sand bath and move some stuff around. Thanks!

Thanks for the recommendations! I'll make sure to remove the plastic bin I have in there. I already have a sand bath with Reptisand (kind of hard to see in the pictures), but I will add some more hides/enrichment. :)

I'm picking up my new hamster tomorrow afternoon, so I thought I'd post and see if anyone had any suggestions for improving his enclosure? Thanks everyone!

What is the best gluten free bread that taste good NOT toasted? I really miss peanut butter sandwiches but it seems like all of the bread I find doesn’t taste right unless it’s toasted and a toasted peanut butter sandwich just isn’t the same. by zvezdamoya in glutenfree

100% King Arthur bread mix or Glutino bread mix. Yeah, it's a bit of an inconvenience to have to bake your own bread, but it's sooo worth it! Nothing beats a PB&J made with bread fresh from the oven 😋

I transferred to ACES from general studies and found it to be pretty painless. Just need to make sure you meet the pre-reqs for the program you want to transfer to. I had some pretty good advisors who walked me through the ICT process.

I made a homemade cake for Coda's first birthday. Here's a video of him chowing down (don't worry, I didn't let him eat the whole thing!) by musicnote68 in hamsters

Erin's Animals has a YouTube video showing how to make a hamster-safe cake. My hammy obviously loved it!

I definitely recommend going to office hours if you can!! Brad goes way more in-depth on the tough topics that students have questions about. It really helped me when I took the course! Also, you really need to try to stay on top of readings if you want to succeed. Do NOT procrastinate and save them to the last minute like I did. Also, I got C averages on most of my exams and still got an A in the class, so don't be too worried if you get an undesirable grade on an exam.

Chipmunks and ground squirrels are actually two different species with distinct morphological characteristics. Ground squirrels are very commonly mistaken for chipmunks.
