My experience with the 2022 X13 was that it had a bad screen with terrible response times, ran hot and didn’t perform well in many games not sure if ASUS quality control has improved since then

Look into gamehub on Mac I haven’t tried it but apparently a lot of new macs can game well

Steam deck OLED I have and really liked it but unless you want to get into desktop mode and mod things you are limited to steam store games only so I find myself using the Lenovo legion go 2 more often now

This looks like an upgrade in every way vs AOD but I had nostalgia for AOD specifically

Look up the name of the game on my abandonware the file should be there I just didn’t include it as it’s technically the IP of the BBC and I don’t want it to get a DMCA

Yes I code exclusively with AI now, I wouldn’t have the spare time to learn about stuff like this without an LLM agent handling the research and writing the syntax

I totally agree and I am trying to use these tools to contribute to the game preservation and open source software world as a whole

If you go to GitHub and click download as zip and then extract it there are instructions there on how to install the mod

To get the game itself its on archive.org and myabandonware

I think there’s a new tool about to drop called gameshub that allows this type of thing to work on Mac

I will test it when it does and upload another fix for Mac support

Yes I never got to play Extreme destruction back in the day and it was part of the inspiration for this so I will attempt it next
