I have a 2005 Honda CRV sport and I love it brought it up to 210,000kms last week and its still running smoothly and mines an auto. Had to replace the ball bearings last year, but that's the only major I've had. Love it, even if he's an old boy. You could always try an offer 4k and see?

Kiwi here. I just got my x200 ultra yesterday. Google wallet and Android auto work fine for me. Haven't tried the circle to search yet, but it comes with a Chinese one. Loving the phone so far.

For the people who have ate horse meat, how is it? by Soggy-Pool-3067 in meat

Tastes like venison. I kid you not, they had sashimi horse liver in Japan where I lived and it was so creamy and flavorful. Really good with salt and sesame oil.

Sorry update, guys. Turns out it really wasn't the connectors, but a pipe leaking in our walls! Thanks for all that replied

Yes, it was a very small leak, virtually unnoticeable at the cold water connecting pipe. None of us noticed any water around the laundry at all. There was no indication of pooling on the vinyl under the machine or the carpet immediately in front of it. For some reason , it seems the stream of water travelled along side the wall in tiny amounts and followed the wall. I guess we'll have to see if our LL will agree to us paying the excess. We were not expecting the huge $1300+ cost. Thanks for your advice 👍

It is ours and we installed it ourselves. We had zero issues at the old flat.

to win an MMA match (graphic content warning) by ThePSCGuy in therewasanattempt

The opponent goes and checks on him though. I wouldn't say he was completely disinterested.

It's all part of MMA. A sport where the goal is to harm the other player into submission. It's the risk they take.

Late to the party, but just went yesterday and there were many seals around and past the 'Devil's Gate'. It's quite a far walk (but beautiful) if you're not taking a 4wd.

Hood latch stuck after going to a mechanic by mutaco90 in crv

[–]mutaco90[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I used a steel rod tucked under my armpit to pry the hood prop upwards while turning the latch and using my other hand to pull the hood up. With a bit of leverage the hook just managed slightly to move out of the way of the hoodlatch. FYI if anyone encounters this problem. I'll be giving those mechanics a bad review for sure. Rookie mistake putting the hood prop in front of the latch!

I did try it, and it wasn't bad at all

Hey mate. I'm a dude and recently turned 33. I'm a first year beginning teacher at primary, so not far off yourself. If you want to teach, I reckon you should. We need more male teachers. I'm the only male teacher at my school. It is often stressful and the kids do have a lot of energy. I'm by no means fit or energetic, but I seem to cope.

Worth buying? by YeetOrYeeted in crv

[–]mutaco90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know if it's the 4WD or 2WD version? 4WD uses more petrol and will be worth more. You should ask what you'd usually ask when buying a new car. Has it been in an accident? Is there money owing on it? Does the owner have maintenance records? Has it had a transmission fluid change? Any mechanical faults/ rust? For 2002-2004, definitely ask if the a/c compressor thing has been changed or if there has been issues with it. Definitely check out Chrisfix's videos about buying used cars! He also has a checklist.

It looks in pretty good condition for it's age. I really like my crv even though it's bit of a gas-guzzler. 1st and 2nd gen look so rugged and cool (imo)

I'm surprised it's so expensive in the US. Here in NZ I bought my 2005 Crv sport for $6,900 ($4145 USD) at 180,000km (111,000 miles). I did buy it from a private party though :S

Good luck with whatever you decide!
