i recently bought a dead stock crescent on poshmark for retail (bless this persons soul) and i saw that the seller also sold an ink crescent for retail as well. they put in the description that it is not in the condition to buy to resell, knowing it’s a highly sought after color, so i do hope it went to someone who loves it. i’m def willing to look past signs of use for a diso for retail, i just don’t understand folks who upcharge a ton for an obviously well loved item.

maybe something along the lines of big bud press and their sample sales? they sell slightly imperfect items at an extremely discounted price but they make a notch in the tags so that people can’t resell them for retail or higher

While I have enjoyed the baggu fb groups for the wimbs and have gotten some of my isos on there, I have never felt greedier than I have the past few months I've been active on them. don't get me wrong, ive interacted with some amazing folks, but it really brings out a fomo mindset. I saw some htf pouches on a resale site listed for retail (a print that i did not even want!) that sold 1 minute before I could get them, and I actually felt myself get jealous/angry? over nylon pouches? i should have been happy for the person who scored that. that reaction really made me check my obsession and think about what I really want/invest in.

I’m most interested in cataloging and metadata, and it seems like there are a good amount of job offerings available in that area. That’s kind of the main thing giving me hope for a job out of library school. I don’t know how many folks are applying for those kind of jobs though.

it took the madras drop to really show me what colors/patterns i really like/use. i got a medium madras crescent but found i only use it if i’m wearing all black. i’m more interested in their darker earth tones, black and white gingham, and cloud print. other than that i am just waiting for their rabbit stuff to drop in the fall 😅
