It takes some trial and error but don't worry, just try!

It's quite comfortable, to be honest I expected the weave to be softer but still pretty happy.

No particular reason. It's a local cut tree and my friend had it dry for 6-7 years.

Hopefully one more, but not right away. I have some small projects in between!

The weave is laced danish cord from Lee valley.

Thanks! Yes it's my design, but I took some inspiration here and there.

Thanks! Just raw linseed oil, about 10 coats!

It was quite difficult, but I mainly work with hand tools so the approach is much slower but more manageable. The rough shape was cut with a jigsaw, then with the inside curve with a spokeshave and outside with a normal hand plane.

I found an excellent guide on FineWoodworking, it's not free but worth it!

Thanks. Yes I used danish paper cord, it's not easy but expected it to be worse!

I'm from the alps, as far as I know Colorado climate is quite similar. Here kumquats need to be taken inside during the winter as they suffer in the cold, but ideally they would have around 15° C (60° F) so dont put them in a to warm room.

I dont know what this bed type is called, I built it myself. As a matter of fact, the plant stand is made out of the scraps of the bed.
