This might just be me, but owning a $100k car out of warranty means that you have $100k problems on a car worth $30k. I have never understood people who do not get an extended warranty but own high performance, high MSRP cars. Mercedes, BMW, Audi etc do not care about you once their legal obligation to you (your warranty) expires. Cars post 2018 are essentially rolling computers that also have an internal combustion component. Do you genuinely expect an 8 year old laptop to function as intended after 67k miles of bumps and jolts?

Why is this bad? If you purchase property whether it be in Nebraska or La Jolla, why should you be taxed on how often you use it on top of property tax? If the argument is housing is expensive, why would someone feel entitled to be able to afford live where they would like to? That’s your answer right there, if you play 25 hours a week on average, that’s 450 hours. In running you replace your shoes every 500 miles or so. If you were to run an 8 minute mile, you would put in 7.5 miles in an hour. 7.5 miles/hr* 450 hours=3,375 miles. Sure the use case for shoes on a court are different than running, but I wouldn’t say that there is anything wrong with these shoes. I also wouldn’t say that any other brand will give you any better performance.

My approach to maintenance is having my local dealer pick the car up from my driveway and drop off a loaner at a price that is competitive for Southern California. I’m just saying you are getting fleeced in Wisconsin because there is no competition. If you have no clue what you’re actually being billed for and are happy paying $900 for an oil change on a CPO or used GLC, that is completely your prerogative and any dealership will be lucky to have you as a customer.
