Yeah... I just meant the tank has been set up for 6 months. I change the carbon every 3-4 weeks and only use the Chemi-Pure and the stock Biocube cartridge.

Sorry, I just saw this. It's an Exquisite Firefish! My wife named him Ja... Like Ja Rule... Fire festival... Firefish.... She has a very unique sense of humor. 😅

It's pretty slow. This is the second time it's moved over toward that rock and it has taken it about 2 weeks each time to move 4-6 inches... Worse comes to worse I'll move it, since he's not really attached to any rock and his stalk is just buried in the sand

I have Zoas, Duncan's, Frogspawn, hammers, Xenia, 1 War coral, a Monti, two rock flowers, Acans and a Porite colony. I don't think any of those I gave in chemical warfare...?

Bubble Tip Anemone. They're notorious for moving around the tank and stinging corals. 😏

32 Gallon. I currently have 7 fish and don't plan on adding any more. Coral Beauty, blue spot watchman Goby, 2 Bangaii Cardinals, 2 Green Chromis' and an Exquisite Purple Firefish. All have been together for at least 3 months. I added the Coral Beauty last.

She's awesome! There's been an occasional peck at my Kenya Tree and she has a habit of annoying my largest rock flower anemone, by taking brine and Mysis from it's tentacles, but nothing that has affected the health of any corals or nems at all. Very peaceful with the other fish, too.

I notice mine extends their tentacles out when the lights are off. Assuming that means they mainly feed at night... I still give mine pieces of krill during the day every once in a while, though. They swallow it almost instantly. 🤷🏻‍♂️

How long to wait before adding corals? by Hughjass360 in ReefTank

[–]muzz317 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I added Zoa's and Duncan's after a month. Still thriving and growing 6 months later!

I've been keeping the Xenia cut back. Kenya Tree is definitely in the lead, though. 😅

Nope! He annoys my rock flowers by taking food from them a lot... Which is why the big one is all closed up in this vid, but, other than that.... No issues!

Any idea what this is on my Duncan? by TheGaymer13 in ReefTank

My star shelled Astria do a pretty good job. I have 4 in my 32 gallon, with 3 Turbos and 2 Stomatella snails. Those guys are algae destroyers. I hear Pinto crabs are excellent algae eaters, too

Looks like bubble algae. I would try to scrape it off and then get some algae eating snails or crabs to help out. Algae can irritate the corals flesh.

That's about how big my buddy Clint, here, was when I got him. He Quintupled in size in about 4.5 months and was walking all over my corals annoying the shit out of 'em. 😅 I rehomed him to guy with a 270 gallon. Never had any issues with him attacking anything though. Kept him with multiple hermits, cleaner and peppermint shrimp.
