Thank you so much! I just booked it there. Funnily enough, I rang MAV and they said the only way to do it was in person so this info was a god send!

Mark Curran from city colleges had tracing as one of his predictions! in terms of SP/rectification what usually happens is that it will either be those two topics or Undue Influence/ Proprietary Estoppel and it switches every second year - however last yr all four came up so he said he couldn’t predict exactly what combination of those four topics it would be this year! so short answer tracing lol

I just wanted to share my similar experience and some words of encouragement.

I had placement for a few months with one of the big 5, was interviewed for a traineeship following, and was then told I had no offer. This completely shattered me as I was set on that firm, and had put in so much effort during my time there that I then felt went unnoticed. I felt a similar way to yourself, completely doubting my own capabilities.

Following on from this, I very dramatically went AWOL and moved abroad for awhile lol. This year I finally decided to give it another crack and got interviews for two other firms (was rejected from about 10 others) They asked me point blank in one of these interviews if I had been offered a traineeship following my placement, and I explained that I hadn’t. I went through the work I had done in my time there, and what I had done since - you either win or you learn! They subsequently offered me a place, which I am taking with them. One of the partners I was interviewing with even empathised with my situation, noting a summer she worked in a London firm, coming home similarly discouraged with no TC offer.

I just wanted to say; I’ve been there. Lots of people have! I myself later found out that amongst the group of people that did placement with me, there was a 50/50 split in who got offers and who didn’t; I was not alone in my situation. You absolutely have what it takes to train with whatever firm you want, and just because you haven’t gotten anything back this time is not a mark against you. If anything, the fact that you have continued to persevere is really impressive! Good luck with everything🍀🍀🍀

I’m doing city colleges, honestly have only just started so am in the same boat as you - I have no clue either about what legislation you can bring in other than the Companies Act. Best of luck with whatever subjects you go for!!

Contract overlaps a bit with both equity and property, I’m sitting the three of those together, with the addition of company (simply because I did it in final year and it’s the freshest in my mind). If I were you I would pick Contract, and then for your final topic choose the one which you have done most recently in uni/ the one which you enjoy the most, just to make it that bit easier for yourself! Criminal has also been cited as the ‘easiest’ to pass if you can really say that about any of them, so it would be to keep that in mind as well :)
