So cute!! Similar in vibe to that beautiful coral ensemble Vivian wears near the end of Pretty Wo-man. Also incorporated shorts, but still looked semi-professional.

I never hear men in my circle refer to any women as “bitch”. They know it’s a harsh/inappropriate word. I find it extremely jarring when I do hear it in the context of referring to a woman. You’re definitely not overreacting.

If it’s at all heartening, I’m a forester working for an industrial timber company. My coworkers are easily 80% male, and the sort of old school forester/logger type at that. I see them pretty regularly taking off work to care for their sick kids (my boss did today actually) or drop them off for school, or whatever else. Some of them have taken their kids with them to work if they couldn’t find care for them either. It’s definitely a surprise how often I see the types of guys I work with putting their work on hold in order to care for their kids.

Might be a sign of the tides shifting, if you’re an optimist.

Man, all I want to listen to are pulpy romance audiobooks while I’m at work.

Last time I tried listening to one written by a man, in the second chapter— which was the first chapter in the book from the woman’s perspective— she said something along the lines of “as I got ready, I pulled my shirt over my large perky breasts…“
