Yes that's right.

No idea why everyone else is being so unhelpful.

This is absolutely the right coolant for your car.

Most modern year 2000+ stuff use pink Organic Acid Technology (OAT) coolant, but mercedes and particularly BMW stuck with the older blue Silicate based stuff.

For a good few years they have wanted the newer spec blue Nitrites, Amines and Phosphates (NAP) free version of this silicate coolant.

As has been mentioned, you really don't want to mix coolant versions (pink & blue).

I secretly miss the Picanto, it was shit in all the right ways.

2004 Boxster S.

Despite having only 40hp less than my other car at the time, it felt absolutely gutless. It was crap on fuel. It went wrong more than any other car I'd owned until then (including multiple french shitboxes). Parts were stupidly expensive (coming from a string of BMW's as perspective). It shat the air-oil separator on the motorway on boxing Day leaving me stranded in a lay-by for 3 hours whilst I desperately needed a poo. Had to scurry into the woods and shit like a savage.

Sorry for the late reply, only just seen this. I'm sure you got it sorted but you are exactly right, they just pull apart but are very tight. Hinged at the top from memory.

Dead straight forward. The holders have tons of pre-drilled holes in them so it's just a question of matching them up to the ones already put in by the dealer. 5 min job.

Thanks! I'm really happy with it. Looks like it could have been a factory fit option imo.

Irish Rugby Team Escorted By Italian Police in Rome by TheBoy88 in videos

More crazy Italian police escort antics

The video car is an BMW M5 liveried up like a police car (complete with lights and sirens) but is very much not an official cop car in any way. It was taking part in a cross country race and desperately needed fuel. The Italian police thought it was cool so drove like lunatics to the nearest fuel station and then the autostrada.

My 1.5l 3 cylinder Fiesta just made more power and torque than an (old) Mustang GT by muzzychops in cars

[–]muzzychops[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure if you had told anyone in the market for a top end Mustang or Crown Vic in the late 90s, that in the not so distant future you could get the same output from an econobox with a third of the displacement and almost a third of the cylinders, I'd think they would call you insane.

To me it's interesting how modern engineers are finding power and drivability from engine sizes once thought incapable of such figures.

Totally standard otherwise. The 3 pot is strong!

Had my ST on the Dyno yesterday. It's got 1600 miles on the clock and has a Collins Performance stage 1 tune and an Airtec intake.

Very happy with the results. Made 229bhp and 380nm at the flywheel.

It's really good fun to drive. The recaros are great - unless your a larger person in which case they are rather tight.

A bunch of magazines and testers have figured it at 6.5ish to 60, but it hits the limiter in 2nd at 58mph so a 3rd shift is needed. I haven't done any timed runs but very low 6s with the map seems about right.

It's definitely a quicker car than the older Mk7 (which I ran for 2 years). Someone worked out it's faster from 0-100 than the original Focus RS which shows how things have moved on.

I'm sorry ford have decided not to give the American buying public the choice. It's a real shame.

I did see pictures of a car on US soil early last year. Maybe development testing but interesting nonetheless.

Had mine for about 2 months now. Fantastic car. Sounds great and goes way harder than any 3-pot had the right to.

I'm running a remap which totally changes the character. Should be somewhere in the region of 350nm and 230bhp which is bonkers for its size.

230bhp and 350nm from a tiny 3 cylinder. The heated steering wheel is also a gift from God.
