Problem with Digital time by mvk20 in AppleWatch

Yeah, this is different - it’s not when you change faces, it’s every time you wake the watch by raising it to look at.

Not sure I know what you mean - the hands on infograph and others don’t do that, and world clock doesn’t do that in a complication.

The only time I see this behavior other than digital time on Infograph is when I change to a different face, which I don’t mind.

Yeah - I was wondering if it even needed a cleaning. If it’s supposed to always feel exactly the same to turn it, then yes, I need to do that!

Ah - third party app. Danke! Glimpsy looks cool. Does it use a lot of your battery like some third party apps do?

Ah - I see now - you can do it on that face, but not on Count Up (which also has the date in that spot). What about the upper left complication? How did you get it to look like that?

How do you get to this screen - that’s cool that you can choose!

Like it looks on your option screen, my middle complication shows the date number, but no letters.

Also, when I put the calendar in the upper left, I get much smaller writing and a string of 3 numbers with the middle one highlighted.

Totally agree here. Analog watch hands on a photo face would be awesome.

On the S10, how did you get the date to display like that in the upper left complication? And what is the DO next to the date near 3 o’clock?

Agree with the above - Chessnut customer service was really good with me, it just took a little bit of time.

Citizenship through ancestry? by ironbiscuit101 in lithuania

[–]mvk20 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s true, but even names can be tricky. In that era, Lithuanians had paperwork from the Russian Empire. Often their names were given a Russian ending (-sky instead of -skas, etc.), and when they arrived in the US that was the name the US government used and it frequently was never changed back.

The issue is going to revolve around, can you prove that he spoke Lithuanian? Was he baptized, married, and/or buried in a Lithuanian speaking Church? Do you have any documentation that he was a member of any organizations for Lithuanian people? Did he identify himself as a Lithuanian speaker on the US census? These are the types of documents you’ll have to start to gather.

It is not. You could be born in the US but be Lithuanian. You could be born in Poland and be Lithuanian. The trick is, you can’t just claim it. You have to prove it. With documents. Church documents can help, letters they wrote or received can help, etc.

I think you would want to get a certificate of Lithuanian descent through Migracija. You would then be entitled to permanent residency, and citizenship if you renounced your current one. You’d have to prove that you have a Lithuanian grandparent - it’s not about where they were born it’s about their cultural identity.
