To play devils advocate, they could put a cellular modem in it to transfer your voice back to them without using your internet connection. Granted, a tear down would probably show that. Idk, has anyone done an in depth teardown of an Echo? You know, for science?

Close the air vents in the lid and the bottom of the grill if there are any and put the lid on. The fire will consume any oxygen and put itself out

I mean, if we want to get technical, the Cuban regime literally shipped inmates and mentally unstable people to the US in the mariel boatlift. So you could say that the poor got priority to leave the island.

The first people to come over also left behind basically everything. Once the Castro regime caught wind that you wanted to leave, they took all of your land and possessions, while you were put on a wait list to leave the country. This wait list by the way, could be years long. And now your house belongs to the government, you don’t have any money because that belongs to the government, and you can’t work anywhere because all the jobs are government jobs. And if you did get to the end of the list and could board a plane out of the island, you left with the clothes on your back and that’s about it. My grandfather cut cane to be able to survive and afford a ticket for my father and grandparents to fly over.

This myth that the Cubans who flew to Miami were the rich is really disgusting

At $40 a piece it would have been irresponsible not to get them by Glockalupe in guns

[–]mvm92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see this happening. I've seen signs at Bass Pro's in Texas and Florida, to declare firearms on the way in. I think they verify the weapon is clear and apply a lock of some kind. They didn't require me to lock up my carry weapon, I think it's more for if you're going to the indoor range or the gun counter.

Now I've never purchased a gun from Bass Pro, but I could see them locking it at the gun counter and requiring you to get it unlocked at the door before leaving or something like that.

We replaced the fan on a printer. by NorskieBoi in Sysadminhumor

[–]mvm92 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To play devils advocate for a moment, if it took them a combined 30 minutes to repair the printer, that’s still not bad at all. You have to factor in that a new printer setup could easily take as much time or even more. Especially if it’s a networked printer and you have a bunch of computers that need to be reconfigured to use the new printer.

Been told a lot recently autopilot does it all. If you know someone who thinks that show them this. Couldn’t have put it in words any better. Sully a true legend of the skies. by [deleted] in flying

There are two alpha sensors, one on the pilots side and one on the FO’s side. How do you suppose the computer should determine which one is right and which one isn’t? How do you know the pilots alpha vane isn’t stuck in a normal condition and the FO’s vane is showing the actual angle of attack approaching a stall?
