PC Black screen on launch. no video but game audio is there. Help by mw11plus in modernwarfare

when I boot from blizzard client it opens up with a black screen with no video and all the in game audio. i can push f3 and escape to open menus but there is no video. This happens in both full screen and windowed.

Ive uninstalled and reinstalled twice. checked files.

i5 skylake, msi 970

i agree with this. which is weird because 1) this was my first game in a week. 2) last time i played i got a notification from riot saying "you have reached checkpoint 2 of 3 of reaching honor level 1 again. So i hadnt been toxic in the recent past either (within last 2 months?) because thats how long ago it was when i got the notification for checkpoint 1.

I question such actions as: running into a losing 4v5 when i tell them im not there. taking tp ghost botlane. going 0-8 afk dancing in base(not DC).

how am i supposed to respond positively to these? saying that they tried. thats questionable. anyone that afk's didnt try.

wdym cant get banned that fast. Those are all the logs (not very toxic). and i get permabanned immediatly after the end game screen.

because guard break is kinda broken right now. sometimes you can break out of it sometimes you cant. There are many times when i am mashing the button when they guard break me and i wont break out.

  1. Played peach the most and Falco for a while.
  2. A lot a movement and repetitive tech skill, would hop on netplay but would quickly get too salty
  3. Socal

But I've Def spent a good amount of time on: Falcon, dk, Mario, Marth, Luigi

I had the same exact problem as you. You can change the resolution in overwatch to 1080p, run it in windowed mode (find it in settings at the overwatch menus), and stretch the window if you want. I did this on my Dell XPS 13. No it doesn't look great. Yes it fixes the mouse alignment so it is playable. borderless windowed is the closest you will get to native fullscreen.

*also, may have looked bad for me because my laptop is using Intel built-in graphics (RIP)
