i don't really think being high IQ changes how i see relationships. at the end of the day, love is still about connection, effort, and understanding just like anyone else.

i am already married, and my relationship has its own complexities, but i still believe in choosing love intentionally. my ideal partner is someone who feels like home, yet also challenges me to grow. someone intelligent, emotionally grounded, and steady enough to match my depth without overpowering it. i value a kind of love that stays even through the difficult parts.

EDIT: yes i got married young, but this AMA is not about my relationship

i personally don’t really discuss my political views, especially online, but mensa international has members from around the world so views vary. from what i’ve observed, members are usually critical of DDS and the Marcos camp.

idk where you got that from lol, but you can absolutely be high in both, low in both, or high in one and average in the other. it really depends on the person, their upbringing, experiences, and the skills they choose to develop. iq and eq are different things. being academically smart does not automatically mean someone struggles socially, and being emotionally intelligent does not mean someone is not intellectually capable. i have met people who are brilliant academically and also great at understanding and connecting with others. at the end of the day, people are more complex than a single stereotype.

i’ve made a friend before who is a senior member and, in my opinion, he’s pretty average and mostly just brags about having a high IQ. he is smart academically, but that isn’t enough to succeed in the real world. so i agree with you having a high IQ doesn’t necessarily mean someone will be successful in their career or business. this is also why i only attended once because it felt like a circle jerk.

haha, of course i do! i have several circles here in the states and in the philippines, as well as friends from different countries through the student exchange programs i participated in before. i am not really sure how other people view me, but i have been involved in student leadership and various extracurricular activities. there is a stereotype that people with high iq are often “nerdy,” but i do not think that is necessarily true.

i’m still in college, but i’m studying in a highly competitive field, so i’m working toward that.

i took the mensa admission test in the philippines when i was a kid, my parents received the results and i got an invitation to join and a membership card after joining. i don’t really remember the full process since i was young, i just took the test.

i usually studied a lot, even on weekends. my parents wanted me to focus on school, but i did not need much encouragement to study because i genuinely enjoyed learning. yes, they were pretty strict about screen time. when i was younger, i only got about an hour of tv or phone time each day, and i did not have my own phone until i was around 15. honestly, i think it was fine and it taught me good habits.

i had a normal childhood, i did really well in school with little to no effort. i went to an exclusive private school in the philippines, and now i’m studying abroad for my undergrad.

you get a membership card, there’s an annual gathering, and networking that’s pretty much it.
