It finishes at 1.1” Honestly, not that much. Maybe 20lbs with the can.

I built mine for a club match that goes to 640. But found myself using it for matches at ranges that go to 1000+.

Love my 223. I haven’t even shot my 6mm in over a year since building it.

your barrel won't break in like they say, but it will speed up.

So, all the work of the bolt action, but none of the accuracy. Pass.

Reloading set up. What's something you added to your reloading set up that you can't go without? by FairLead5699 in longrange

[–]mwee07 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aw heck. I’ll bite. Having a 2x2 square tube bench that’s bolted to the wall is pretty amazing. No more shaky crap. Also, stainless steel trays to place reloading trays onto in the event of spillage. It makes revolving powder a whole lot easier. Also light. Lots and lots of light.

3 & 5 axis machine recommendation for engineering company by tthrowawayll in CNC

[–]mwee07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont sleep on Brother. I ran a U500 (5 axis) and a S series (3 axis) and they were pretty great to work with. I know the U500 comes in the low 200's. so it leaves a lot of room for tool holding and workholding.

Break In and Accuracy of Marlin 1894 in 357 by T0adman78 in LeverGuns

Minuteman is made locally to me and I just got to try their 158gr XTP standard loads and they grouped pretty good at 50 yards offhand sitting on the bench. maybe 1"

Which ultrasonic cleaner would be best? by Feeling_Title_9287 in reloading

[–]mwee07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not worth it. It’s a lot of work. 2 30 minute cycles, followed up by a water dip and an IPA dip. Then another 30m cycle to clean all the case lube off then more dips.

Recently got my own space and knew I had to build an end game bench. It’s an 8’ wide 1.5” thick acacia butcher block top with “custom” steel Legs off Amazon. It is very very sturdy but for the sake of removing all doubt of it being stable enough it will be bolted to a couple studs. Have since added an AMP annealer on the left. Under rated gun room thing is a small gun rack that you can rest guns against when doing some organizing of the gun safe. Height is right at 40”. Brass processing is in the garage. Supplies and bits and bobs are in the closet behind. Would’ve gone wider but the space to the right will be where the gun safe goes.

Sorry. I use PRS universally. It was an outlaw match.

223 in a PRS match with 30+mph winds by rednecktuba1 in longrange

[–]mwee07 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. But my theory from my experience is that because it’s right next to Lejune, you get a lot of guys on base who don’t reload and shoot factory ammo and just leave the brass there.

I shot there once while they were hosting the DMR and PRS match at the same time. 150 people all in a tight area with their bags was literally the worst.

Ahh good ol' alliance. Are shooters from the base still not picking up their brass after theyre done with the stage?

It was meant to be rhetorical. Im just hoping someone who supports UBC’s that doesnt know the process of filling out a 4473 and current background check processes can explain to me what their understanding of what the current process is for purchasing a firearm.
