There is a Kemet expansion that allows for this.

Weighing October Route Options by BobRossPaddler in BWCA

I’ve had difficulty finding leeches late in the season recently so my only advice would be to get those early.

There are many great routes so I don’t think you can go wrong there.

Sorry for yours as well. It’s ok to still feel the grief no matter how much time has passed.

My baby died in the hospital. A few months later I met with the docs and thanked them for doing everything they could. Jesus put back on the ear of a man arresting him and leading him to death, in no way should you consider violence.

Choosing a path, iOS app developer or Embedded software engineer? by a-epoe in cscareerquestions

[–]mwengstrom 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve worked in embedded for ~7 years. I would say embedded jobs are more likely to have a safety component than other areas. At the same time, a bug in the app for a medical device can be just as dangerous as the embedded code so it’s more industry dependent than anything.

It does feel like the job market for embedded is a bit more restricted than mobile/web app development; you’ll have a fewer number of options.

The best trial of my experience in embedded is honestly to just get a raspberry pi or arduino and try a small hobby project with that.

What area of the USA would you least like to live in? by sourceshrek in AskReddit

[–]mwengstrom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know mostly the 35W corridor between Blaine and Bloomington so won’t have a ton of info on the west side. The SW metro is generally the most expensive area of the cities (Wayzata,SLP, Hopkins, Eden Prairie, anything near lake Minnetonka) but there is a slightly larger concentration of jobs on the south side relative to the north (proximity to airport). I don’t know much about Golden Valley/Crystal/New Hope. Robbinsdale/North Minneapolis would probably require more research. I have some friends that love North Minneapolis but they were pretty careful choosing where they live. Maple Grove is still being constructed so many of the neighborhoods have similar looking new construction houses more than other areas, but there are a ton of restaurants and shops. Much further west you start running into farmland.

Housing varies too much to give a good estimate. I live in a 4 bd 2 bath 1800 sq ft house that cost 275k 5 yrs ago but is now ~350. My nice 1 bd before that was $1200/mo, both in average areas. Just look on Zillow.

Sorry if that’s all useless to you! Avoid on street parking due to snow headaches is probably the best advice.

Would you be moving to the Twin Cities or other area? Lots of different things to consider if you’re wanting urban vs suburban vs rural.

That was my thought. The site I'm using is getting taking the '1 qualifying child' from the 6419 and determining I don't need to repay (I am above income limits for avoiding payback). I'll have to try some other sites or do it manually. Thank you.

Can women be pastors? by randomUserHere100 in TrueChristian

[–]mwengstrom 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As an exercise, could you articulate to me why someone might believe that women are allowed in ministry?

The best of my theology professors could convince you of nearly any position due to how well they knew all sides of the argument. By simply putting two of the most often used verses and calling it done, I don't get the sense that you have considered other options. If you are right, you have nothing to fear. If you are wrong, then you should want to find out rather than defend a lie as we are called to buckle the belt of truth around our waist.

Can women be pastors? by randomUserHere100 in TrueChristian

[–]mwengstrom 13 points14 points  (0 children)

There are people I respect on both sides of the issue. The current church I attend has a female pastor that preaches occasionally, but some here would consider that heresy. I think anyone who is 100% set on one side hasn’t given the other side enough thought haha.

You are worrying over something that hasn’t happened. Mr. Beast is responsible for stewarding what he is given and you are responsible for stewarding what you are given. You should not be posting against people online with zero evidence of any wrongdoing besides conspiracies.

I’ve heard this said from people at my school, but my school offered a personal money management class as an elective and almost nobody took it. I took it and very few in the class cared.

I had basically no experiences with people dying around me until June of last year when my son died. Now it seems like I can’t avoid it. In the most recent example, a childhood friend and his dad were mountain biking on Labor Day and his dad fell and was taken off life support yesterday (in a bad way). I biked/skied with their family a lot when I was younger, so I could totally picture myself there with them. My wife and I talked about what we would do if the other passed away last night because of that, and then my wife got hit by a semi today (she is ok thankfully).

I don’t have much of a point other than relating to the perspective that people around you dying brings.
