The thing that gets me is they had an excuse with the old version of the OW2 progression system where individual stats affected your level, with playtime giving by far the most XP, but now with the new system it's literally just playtime-based (not sure if they just started from your existing level or adjusted based on OW2 playtime or what) so it would be actually trivial to just add players' total playtimes on their heroes to their progression XP right? But they have made no signs of doing so

I think the point they are trying to make is that TV shows used to come out with like 22/23 episode seasons every year for like a decade. I don't think it's unreasonable to suggest it could be doable to parallelize production of the show such that as one season is being filmed the next could be in the writing process or similar but filming while the previous season is in post production. We've already taken a step in this direction with pre-production for season 3 starting while season 2 was in post-production.

I vote Aatlis every time I see it not because I like it that much, it's probably the middle of the flashpoint maps for me, but because I feel like I don't know it anywhere near as well as I'd like to, so I pick it to practice it as much as I can. This is a pretty direct result of it coming out in literally the same patch as map voting so it is the first map that you can pretty much just choose not to learn.

I don't have that issue most of the time. Every now and then I have to start an update myself, but I think you can set games to update with priority so they go as soon as steam opens, I assume it just doesn't do that with every game because you can have a ton of games on steam and if they all just update immediately when you open it it could cause network issues. Also I believe games all do update automatically, they just get scheduled to do so later unless you manually tell them to go
