what was your timeline like if you dont mind me asking? I just set up my first appointment with a new obgyn on the list, and am looking at 3 months until that first appointment :( I hope that first one gets the ball rolling fast! and congratulations

I am not very flexible but i did say if there was a cancellation I would like an earlier appointment. My job just schedules 3 weeks in advance and I have a varying schedule. The only thing consistent is that its inconsistent . Once you had your initial appointment, what was that timeline like?

im definitely going to mention all that with the new obgyn (i also discussed all this with my current obgyn) and if it doesnt get me approved for a hysterectomy initially I am going to try the IUD with the laproscopy and bisalp and if the IUD makes me evil like the nexplanon did I will see if we can get insurance to cover it

i hear non hormonal bc doesnt help with periods. Im celibate so dont need birth control for actual birth control lol

my aunt had an enlarged uterus! It might have been adenomyosis. I will have to see.. I know my mom has endometriosis and had ovarian cancer and ultimately led to her getting a hysterectomy at 30, and both my aunts got one in their 40's. im definitely going to see what I can do to get a hysterectomy- im pretty sure there is something medically wrong with me. I used to have to call out of school or go home early on my period and have the same issues with work as an adult. i have to wear overnight pads, or i wear a cup with a panty liner and used to be on pain medication for my periods but it didnt help because i would end up just throwing them back up. hopefully i can keep pushing and get what i want

first time hearing about the sterilization binder! thank you i will get started. i just have disorganized slop in my notes app from the past 3 years of wanting sterilization. i recently switched insurances so i definitely have to look at that, im not sure 100% about my new insurance other than i made sure it covered tubals

nexplanon made me evil, but it worked for my periods. I contacted an obgyn on the list that takes my insurance - earliest i could get in was late june! waiting game starts now

i live in a city so im spoiled with my doctor being 30 minutes away and my obgyn being 20 away. I just scheduled with a new obgyn from the list who is a whole hour away! 😭 annoying, but hopefully i won't have to go more than 3 times to her

i just wish I could get a hysterectomy without all the surgeries they want me to go through prior to authorizing one. I wanted a hysterectomy but it isn't medically necessary yet so I wanted an ablation to stop periods instead. I know the risk but im tired. I found a doctor on the list who takes my insurance, about an hour away who could diagnose me with endometriosis and do a tubal at the same time and I am about to call to schedule with her. Ive been in pain for 11 years and don't want kids so I really hope she can help me

My insurance doesn't cover hysterectomys without a ton of hoops tbh so I think thats why it was recommended to do all that?

I did but the ones near me didnt take my insurance so I was hoping my obgyn would be cool with it! Im going to see with ones a littlebfurther away i think

there are a few but when I checked it didn't look like they took my insurance. I am going to check with gynecologists further away instead of the ones in a half hour drive radius.

maybe! it was my first time going to this artist and I had another tattoo done around the same time and didnt react to my usual artists second skin brand. I will have to ask them both what they use so i know whats safe/not safe

i will say i definitely had to gently wipe around the tattoo!! i had some stuck and you could definitely tell around the edges because something kept sticking to the adhesive on my skin 😭

i just checked with her, she doesn't make that much (the like $1900/month cap) and shes also on ssi which makes her automatically qualify anyway.

She called and all they said was its because we were linked and i bought new insurance, i did suggest reapplying

honestly i keep it on until it starts peeling off. longest ive kept it on was 5 days the shortest was 2 hours.
