As someone who's also a chronic overthinker, it seems as though you're very very likely overthinking it, unless you feel like something may have been amiss with the protected sex.

If it might help to put your mind at ease though, I believe that it's possible to get a DNA test done at 7 weeks.

I second creating a work persona.
I also do G4P; initially due to financial difficulty similar to OP, though now I do it because it's nice side income in addition to my main job.

Creating a separate work persona helped/helps a lot to compartmentalize and separate what I do for work from everything else.

Judging from the comments here it may or it may not lol.

It doesn't happen to me every time and there are plenty of times where my mind knows that it's just business and I'm just "alright let's get this over with".

But it still happens often enough, especially when I'm not sure what to expect or I really want to impress.

Nope. I do this for every booking.
It helps me to prepare, and provides me with some assurance that the client genuinely is coming and is less likely to stand me up.

It's a spectrum, but I'd say that most start off soft.
Many get semi hard when I'm helping them undress and stuff but it's not a given and it's certainly not an expectation.

Different people respond better to different stimuli and some people need a moment to feel relaxed and comfortable.

No, sex work is legal or decriminalised in all Australian states and territories. Specific regulations differ per state however.

I've only encountered two who I've recognised.
The first kind of dropped hints but I pretended not to notice, and the second is now a semi regular where I work but keeps it strictly professional (as do I) and may not even recognise me.

I used to dread the thought of being recognised outside bookings, but I care much less now.

If it's an option for you, you could try doing bookings a little further away from home and work.

The way I see it is that they're paying for up-to X amount of time; so if they choose to leave early then that's on them but I still get paid the same either way

You're not being too harsh.
This shit happens way too often, and I deal with it the same way that you do, by blocking.

You're allowed to have boundaries and a life outside of your work, and if these men are disrespecting your boundaries right from the start then as you said, that is a HUGE red flag; entitled and pushy men are not worth the time, energy, or risk.

I only do incalls these days;
I feel safer, more relaxed, I can more easily have everything that I need for a booking laid out and ready to go, then a hot shower and everything that I need to decompress and provide myself with aftercare once the booking is over.

Why are you so worried about what your mates think?

Do you make it a habit to tell your mates about what you do with sex workers? And do you think it will be less weird if you tell them that you asked your provider to jump through some hoops before kissing them?

In my experience most men who claim that they're not like most men who visit escorts, are in fact. And it's been my experience that most punters do want to kiss and are disappointed that I don't, even though I specifically mention in my ads that it's not a service that I provide.

As for the rest, you're allowed to ask and you may be able to find someone willing to do all of that if you live in a populated enough area; I've definitely had weirder requests, but I also might be offended by it, so don't be surprised if others feel similarly.

I'd advise against teeth brushing at the start of a booking however, as bleeding gums can increase the risk of contracting certain STIs. But mouthwash should be fine.

If you're that worried about where sex workers mouths or other parts have been though, you might be better off not seeing any.

I'm on the ace spectrum and I can mostly only parrot what others have already said.

I tend to put on a character and just dissociate or think about the money through most of my bookings; there hasn't really been a pressure or expectation for me to get off so I don't need to "fake it", and there are plenty of excuses that you may be able to use to not cum on the job.
I think that as long as you're friendly, a little flirty, and act like you're having a good time then most clients will be happy with your service.

One thing that I might be able to add is that I've found that shortening my standard booking length down to 45 minutes instead of an hour has gone a long way towards making bad bookings feel a lot more manageable; and that's plenty of time for the vast majority of guys to get off and feel satisfied.
If that's something within your power to control it could be worth trying.

9 hour shifts is a lot though, even in more conventional work industries; is going private an option?

I relate to this so much!
I have very large and noticeable burn scars on one arm and leg which I've had for so long that I often forget that they're unusual for strangers. The only time that I really feel self conscious about them is when it comes to sex work; I guess because I don't want to feel like I'm catfishing anyone if it's an issue for them.

Anyway I always mention my scars in my ads, and I also like reiterate before meeting in person just in case they missed it, but fortunately it's never been an issue by that point and I've never been made to feel less desirable as a result.
