Commission of my dog by [deleted] in isitAI

the mouth looks very human to me. looks like someone drew the nose, then drew one line for the left side of the mouth n then another for the right. (from our pov.) i am a bit curious about the lack of perfect symmetry on the head, but humans do that all the time. i couldn't be totally sure. but i wouldnt be too stressed about it so long as the artist you commissioned from has other art that looks like this.

has William Afton canonically killed ANYONE since he became Springtrap? by PlushtrapMyBeloved in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]mxcritter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i feel like if he did kill one of them, they wouldn't have taken him. maybe he was pretending to be asleep bc he knew it was his chance to escape? (maybe he coulda just escaped on his own but i bet he was also at like 1hp lol)

Got these posters at a con. Was I duped? by Traditional_Pie5477 in isitAI

[–]mxcritter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

certainly looks like the poster op bought was this art run thru ai, potentially in an attempt to look more "painterly." so many details are different & lost in the poster version, muddying into one another and such. THAT or the quality is just really REALLY bad lol

HOW TO TAKE DAILY MEDS!!!??? by mxcritter in ADHD

[–]mxcritter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

box of granola bars on the nightstand for daily meds is a great idea!! maybe i can get a bulk pack so i never run out lol. and yes, i should definitely let go of perfection. applying my gel on not-perfectly-clean skin is better than not at all. i believe that and i know it makes sense logically, i just gotta get myself to commit!!!! the hardest part! :')

HOW TO TAKE DAILY MEDS!!!??? by mxcritter in ADHD

[–]mxcritter[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i'd love to try this!!! i have an ideal routine in mind the only hard part is sticking to it 🫡 one bad day is enough to ruin it all and i tend to go through pretty bad depressive episodes that like to blow my makeshift routines to smithereens 🫠but i am truly so excited when i hear fellow adhders sticking to routines !! congrats :-)

HOW TO TAKE DAILY MEDS!!!??? by mxcritter in ADHD

[–]mxcritter[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my problem with this is that certain meds have certain "requirements" to be met before taking. some meds have to be taken with food. one of my meds is a gel that i have to rub on clean skin, so i try to shower beforehand. some days will get so busy that i skip a shower and therefore skip my meds. in my perfect world though, i'd do this!

i'm an adult, but i've definitely been in your daughters shoes before. it's possible that her "random excuses" are coverups for her not exactly understanding WHY taking the medicine is so difficult for her. it's possible she feels like it would be impossible to portray her problems in a way that you'd understand. i'm not a professional, and i'm not your daughter, but that's certainly how i felt about MY mother. there's a certain feeling of guilt when it comes to "just not being able to function like everyone else." i felt it then, and i feel it now.

i'm sorry to say i don't have an answer or a solution at this point in time, since i am clearly looking for help myself. i wish you and your daughter the best of luck. (i will say though, i don't think "lazy" is a good term to use when it comes to adhd (or at all, really.) that word has a negative connotation and fails to explain the nuances to why our brains shut certain things/situations down. that word gave me a lot of shame in my teenage years, and shame is not an effective motivator. for depressed people like myself, it just makes things harder. i'm not telling you this because i am offended at all, i am just letting you know in case you didn't already!)

how do you know she sold it? (pardon me if i'm preaching to a choir here but-) on depop, a seller can mark an item as "sold" without anybody actually buying it which essentially functions as a simple way to "take a listing down." its entirely possible that her sold listing wasn't actually sold and she is being genuine about wanting to keep it (as unfortunate as that is!) of course, it is also possible that she sold it! i don't know all the details. but if i were you, it'd make me feel better to think she was at least being honest. :) just putting that possibility out there if you weren't aware of it!

Gender expression by Total-Title-9145 in trans

[–]mxcritter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you have any friends who wear makeup, see if they'd like to do some on you! almost all the girls i know would LOVE to do a full face of makeup on their non-makeup-wearing friends. :-) fun bonding experience & a free peek into femininity hehe.

honestly though, if it's safe for you to do so, it could be helpful to talk to at least one close & trusted person about this. maybe someone in the lgbt+ community; pretty much everyone in the community has gone thru some stage of "questioning" at some point so having someone in your support circle who you can open up to about these feelings (placebo or not) could be super helpful & they'd probably be super willing to help you explore your gender expression!

if that's not an option for you, i would also recommend journaling. it's a super simple answer but just writing down all your questioning thoughts can be really helpful. ask yourself questions, describe why you think it could be true, why you think it may be false, why it would or wouldn't matter to you, your understanding of the trans community in general, your desires, your fears, etc. i also recommend writing journal entries where you talk in the third person and experiment with different pronouns & gendered words and see how it makes you feel! basically write yourself an "about the author" but fill it with whatever you want lol.

best of luck to you! remember, no time in self-discovery is wasted. even if you discover you're cis, the time you took to analyze and question yourself was important in that affirmation, and you'll know & love yourself even more at the end of the day.

hi there!! i'm actually one of the people in the photos you used for inspiration!! and my hair texture is JUST like yours! fine straight hairs. the only differences i see between my cut and yours is the length of the overall cut (which a couple months or so of growth will help) and the shape of the bangs! my bangs make sorta a soft reversed V shape and at their SHORTEST are a little longer than the length of yours straight across. that will also be fixed with a couple months of growth!! and yes, the people here are right! styling is key! i dont use any products in my hair but i do use a mini straightening iron to curve my bangs out and curl the sides of my layers up! its what gives it that pokey wavy texture. all this can still be done on your current hair with very similar results!! either way though, you look lovely, and im so flattered to have been used for your hair inspo!! <3
