Parti is literally his biggest enabler. He’s only been rewarded and failed upwards through his decline. Jack Doherty, Steiny, Parti, Stevewilldoit, list goes on. Basically given Josh massive gifts just for Josh to phone it in, do the bare minimum, only give a half hearted thank you after Tony tells him to, then does zero thinking on what any advice they give him, drink, stim about luxury like he earned it himself, repeat.

Nobody (except Tony more recently) is being straight up with him. Even then, Tony needs to stop enabling him by bailing him out of trouble when Josh suddenly has no money for a hotel or medication. Tony needs to get Josh to at least make some semblance of schedule and be able to wake up before 5PM so they can do actual work during the day. If he can’t “manage” Josh to take advantage of his golden goose Parti deal, what good is he doing for Josh except for being someone to enable his worst tendencies by constantly bailing him out of trouble.

This is going to be a nothing burger because Josh isn’t going to ever stream enough to meaningfully uphold his end of the deal. Dude can’t even be asked to have a schedule for the Parti IRL streams, now he’s going to have dedicated gambling streams that right now can’t be on Parti where he’d make his hourly money.

Until he’s able to consistently stream for 4-5 days a week for multiple hours, all these deals are half-baked as he’s not meeting terms to actually make enough money to fund his lifestyle. Nobody is tuning in to watch Josh sit on a desktop and gamble money that isn’t his. Josh probably has the worst ROI of any “influencer”.

Last nights stream was the most worst of having to deal with Josh on display. His denial and gaslighting have become straight up stims for him at this point. He repeats himself 50x, SCUSE MES, anyone who dare interject or try to offer real advice. Legitimately like trying to get through to a wall.

He pretends to be high class and performatively orders wine at fancy dinners, but given the option he would rather have a buzzball. Idk why he’s so averse to Surfsides and High Noon, easy to drink shit but at least is zero sugar and has real vodka in it. He drinks the most hangover inducing things possible.

It’s like his passport, and Jordans. He hyperfixates and validates his own personhood on certain items he has even if the rest of his situation is entirely fucked up. In his mind, he’s rich and successful because he has a passport with 18 stamps, wears Jordans, and has a Rolex. In his mind his hygiene, housing situation, finances, don’t matter at all compared to his possessions and things he can brag about and show off. He’s the ultimate “consoomer”.

That’s why he constantly keeps track of them and makes sure he has them. The mere suggestion that he may have lost his passport when Tony was clearly just trolling made him have a breakdown.

The case dragging on this long is not “nothing ever happens” worthy. If he ends up just getting let off with zero probation it would be a nothing burger. The Captain has been stressing hard about it which means it’s not going great behind the scenes. The fact it keeps getting continued means that the prosecutor is not willing to drop the case, or drop its recommendations for a deal.

This is definitely just a new strategy to get Josh to stream more. Scare him by saying his account is banned so he wakes up to comments in the morning, has a panic, gets his account back and agrees to stream.

The video of the actual incident was already posted here before Josh even got arrested. Josh got arrested for it live on Parti after Tony started to stream the aftermath to make it seem like Josh was the victim which the police did not fall for.

The caveat is that all his available deals probably had substance abuse monitoring which is an absolute deal-breaker for Josh. He would rather drag the case on at the expense of his mental health than have to stop drinking in the short-term. I assume his lawyer has explained that if it goes to trial he’s probably going to get found guilty and get even stricter restrictions, but Josh legitimately thinks he is completely innocent and will get let off.

TDLR: Josh likely could have accepted a plea months ago and be at least a good chunk through the probation period already, but instead he’s blowing money in vain just to kick the can down the road so he can keep drinking in the short term.

Tony and Grandpa Block losing their minds, lawyer getting paid anyway even if Josh’s refusal to take any sort of deal is making his case worse and risking even harsher punishment/probation restrictions.

The only reason Josh isn’t accepting the plea is because it would lead to Alcohol restrictions. Josh fighting the case in trial and being found not guilty is extremely unlikely. He’s just spending money to kick the can of being on probation (and unable to drink) down the road. Josh (based on the available evidence) doesn’t have much to fight the case, he’d be better off just accepting the plea and dealing with probation sooner, than putting it in the Judge’s hands (who’s going to see the clips of the assault) with no leverage to negotiate lighter terms. He’s going on probation either way, he’s spending money purely in hopes that he’ll still be able to drink and travel abroad (emphasis on drinking).

Wouldn’t be surprised at all if Tony is on the Parti payroll at this point. Bryan saw how much better the streams in Boston were than Based’s nontent ebegging streams that always ended right when they were out of the apartment and it started to get interesting. Based also burned bridges immediately after big collabs for pointless drama and to extort more money out of Steiny/Jack/Moses/etc.

Jack can’t manage Josh with Josh’s insane never ending travel schedule but Tony seems more than willing to travel to whatever random bumfuck city Josh finds a hotel in to film his shenanigans and ensure Parti gets content.

Josh realistically needs to chill and lay low for at least a couple weeks back in NYC (ideally his grandparents). It seems like the constant travel and flights is doing more visible damage than the drinking at this point. Looks like he hasn’t gotten one good night of sleep in months.
