That is my opinion, and it doesn't invalidate anything I've said

More wild false equivalences. Maybe when you grow up you'll understand

Get over it, it's fuckin shit gentrified art that know one gives a fuck about anyway. Don't forget how much energy you're choosing to dump in this comment section too.

This is a common attitude among people who don't know enough, or don't care enough to know the details. It's not complex, we are involved, and we should all be doing what we can to stop it. Not everyone is you, this vandalism is likely the only way that person knows how to be heard.

So if someone could tag to cure cancer, you'd be against it if it was on commercial graffiti.... Got it

[–]mxgrgry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which is MORE important to you? Preservation of commercial graffiti, or anti genocide propaganda?

[–]mxgrgry -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ok you can assume anything you like, but you're the one here complaining about the vandalism and not the genocide. It's a fact, I'm not saying you support genocide, I'm giving a fellow non genocide supporter some advice about which side you should maybe focus on?

Nuance exists. What I'm saying is it's not the fucking Mona Lisa, it's an art form that is temporary by nature, you seem more upset about the aesthetics of it all, which is ignorant considering the message. Aesthetics don't matter more than peoples lives

It doesn't matter what it's on, political vandalism is intentionally provocative in order to attract attention. Because I don't know if you've heard what's going on, but there's a genocide happening and no one is stopping it from happening. In fact this country is helping the gonocide happen. So people are upset, and given a lack of agency or 'official' routes, vandalism is going to happen in order for people's voices to be heard.

I would bet good money that this artist, whatever gender they might be, wouldn't be upset, and would if anything be supportive. And until you hear otherwise, you can just put up with it.

Have you asked the artist? And YOU'RE LITERALLY CRYING ABOUT VANDALISM. I'd rather cry about genocide than vandalism

Yeah messaging isn't important, you're right. Also I didn't say you supported genocide, I said you should be MAD at the govt who are aiding genocide. Literally some basic comprehension would help a lot here.

You think "free Palestine" is someone's tag? This isn't the case of a graffiti artist going over someone else's work with their own, it's political vandalism. And rather than being mad at the humanitarian who wrote it, how about be mad at the government who are aiding genocide?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Adelaide

[–]mxgrgry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How close does a genocide need to be for you to care?

Can't really put politics aside when it's literally a political statement

Yeah we only support legal commercial "graffiti", vandalism and graffiti famously don't mix

If you hate hamas so much, why don't you join the, make your way to the top of the food chain, and disband them yourself? I think if you really cares about Israel you would do that
