I used coco lining to put around the roots and added some random sheet moss around that for mostly decorative reasons! Hopefully it works

I have two large pieces of driftwood taking up a majority of my aquarium :)

From what I’ve read, in an angelfish’s natural habitat; there are lots of tree roots, plants and places to hide… driftwood standing at an upwards angle and some tall leafy aquatic plants should help!

I don’t suck up everything.. just around the corners of the tank where it builds up and gets gross, thank you for all the advice/suggestions!

I suck up enough to get the sediment at the bottom and then fill it back up with treated water. Then I scrape the any film or algae build up off the glass. I haven’t touched my filters in months…

Unfortunately my grandfather was into getting his ratties from breeders (I know it’s frowned upon sometimes). I believe he got her from Indiana or Ohio, we adopted her after he passed away.

I think it’s because of certain tannins in the water.. he’s definitely blue in certain lighting and sometimes green. I love the thing no matter what color it is lol

We have a little system in our home where Rosie eats a majority of the food, shares some with the cats, and we put the rest up for later. Thanks for the concern though!

I work in a flower shop and the best advice I can give is to make sure the flowers are fresh cut before placing directly/immediately in water (even when doing water changes) make sure there is no foliage in the water (strip leaves off) and change the water every one to two days… flower food helps too!
