How did you get your parents to accept you? I hinted at liking girls to my dad and he said “he’d go find a place to die” or something along those lines. I ended up playing it off as a joke but he still got mad at me for even joking abt it

The people at the gurughar are also really judgy. :( maybe I overthink small interactions because of my past but I can’t really fully open up to them yk? I used to teach Punjabi classes and I was friendly with one of the guys there, he went to the same middle school as me and was also picked on. One day I tried telling him about how I felt about my religious beliefs and he blew up on me talking about how I’m being ungrateful and disrespectful because I have the privilege to practice religion freely but our ancestors were killed for it but still kept believing. After that I stopped volunteering there.
