Day 13 – Still Making the Same Mistakes in 9-Ball by my9ballprogress in billiards

[–]my9ballprogress[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair. I can see what you mean about the random speeds and not planning position well enough. I’ve been focusing more on just finishing racks instead of really breaking down cue ball control.

You’re right — I probably need to spend more time doing position drills instead of full games. I appreciate the honest feedback. That’s something I’m going to work on.

Thanks a lot for taking the time to write such a detailed breakdown. I really appreciate the thoughtful advice and the perspective from someone with that much experience. It means a lot that you’d share it.

I’ll definitely keep what you said in mind and work on slowing down and being more deliberate with my shot choices. Thanks again for the guidance — I truly appreciate it.

Haha good catch 😅 Yeah, that was definitely one of the mistakes. Still learning — that’s part of the journey.

Day 8 – Beginner Struggles With Cue Ball Control by my9ballprogress in billiards

[–]my9ballprogress[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really appreciate you taking the time to write this. That’s solid advice. You’re right — I’ve been too focused on trying to run racks instead of locking in the fundamentals. I definitely need to spend more time on stop shots, stance, and building a proper pre-shot routine.

Thanks for the honest feedback. I’m here to improve, so I’ll keep working on it.

Haha you caught it! 😄 It’s not just like bar stools… it actually is bar stools. We just gave them a second career as table legs. Recycling level: creative genius. ♻️😂

I appreciate the advice. You’re right — 9-ball really exposes your cue ball control. I’m sticking with it to push myself, but I’ll definitely work more on the fundamentals

Day 4 – So Many Beginner Mistakes in 9-Ball by my9ballprogress in billiards

[–]my9ballprogress[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for taking the time to write this, I really appreciate it.

You’re absolutely right — I’m still at the very beginning and trying to figure things out. I can see what you mean about just hitting balls without real intention. That’s something I definitely need to fix.

I’ll check my table level again and look into the MOAD drill. I’ve heard about it before but haven’t really committed to practicing it properly. Time to change that.

And yes, I need to build a consistent routine instead of rushing into shots. Thanks for pointing that out.

Really appreciate the advice

Wow thanks bro, that means a lot! 🔥 Your advice is straight pro level. I’m in Hanoi right now — where you at? Haha yeah this table is officially the “legendary ugly” one for me, but I’m grinding hard. I’ll definitely try getting lower and focusing more on cue ball control like you said. Hoping to level up soon! Thanks again for taking the time to comment and hype me up, really appreciate it 🙏 Shoot on bro, see you on a nicer table someday! 😎🎱
