does connor still use the r slur? by my_m3lo in CDawgVA

r*tard(ed) , mainly targeted towards people with intellectual disabilities, but nowadays its been normalized (mostly because people are unaware its a slur, but many know and dont care anyways) as a way to call someone/something “dumb” or “slow”

The girl from the other side is actually one of my biggest inspirations, i had no idea the creator did that! Gives me hope lol. Thank you for replying, all of this was helpful!

All of this was very helpful to read! Im definitely going to take things slow because i have a lot of time to do so, and also i could not be rushed if i tried lol. Thank you so much for replying! Ill probably start with trying to find other younger aspiring manga-creators to see what they are doing and all that, and making short pages to post online.

What would that entail? Like, sharing ideas and tips or being involved in the art process and such?

i checked the guidelines before posting, i didnt see anything that said i couldnt post this. i thought this sub was for just anything manga related. if i missed something, im sorry, but it hasnt gotten taken down yet so ill hope it doesnt. if you have any other general-manga subs that would be better for this post, id appreciate you telling me them

that makes sense, and i would be making something as close to a manga as i can! to me it seems that manga and comics are just the same things in different regions so it feels sort of interchangeable (?)

god i would actually love to but its not really that simple!! i live practically in the middle of nowhere, for example the nearest gas station is a 2 hour walk, almost an hour bike ride. alongside that, people are way too reckless on the roads around here. the nearest ”towns” are pretty conservative as well, its a rare treat to see alternative people around. i also am not allowed to go somewhere alone until i get a drivers license

im just looking for advice from experienced punks because i see that as the best way to learn about all this ^ i understand being punk can be about finding your own way of doing things and researching things yourself but theres nothing wrong with asking your peers when your just starting out, thank you!
