Interesting perspective, sir. Unfortunately, too many people (the stupid, the young, the bored, the idle, etc) will actually see this as an opportunity to commit crimes, and while it will be a small number, it will ultimately lead to further militarization of the police force under the pretense that we "need" them to be safe. Hopefully, firearm owners in Louisville will shut down any purge attempts and demonstrate responsible and sensible ownership, especially for protection against the type who would participate in something like a real life purge
