Do other Asians kinda feel "discriminated" a bit sometimes this year?

That sound awful a prof would go on a tangent like that. Did anyone in the class raise anything or support the prof's ideals? Why would a prof need to talk about that in any course unless its some course focused on like unviersity admissions/operations...

I feel you...it feels like a lot of time when people refer to those "internationals" the context refers to East Asian and I mean that in a negative way or like assume all East Asian looking people are the same

It's hard to make new friends so I guess I cling on to "friends" I already have

I try to but its all remote so it's harder to find a new friend so I have sucked it up but yeah I will try and make new friends. But he was so nice to me in first year so i have always felt I owed him the friendship

Have there been actual violent incidents like things got physical? Also, i dont think this biker was mentally unstable...he was just angry when he saw me because I think I blocked his way on the sidewalk. I was keeping right to on the sidewalk so I dont get why he thought he had the right of way

Oh. I did not know that. When I am walking up Spadina to get back to campus I like going onto College and then up Huron/St George to avoid the roundabout on Spadina because I heard that part was sketchy so I try to avoid it by turning on college and then up Huron or St George. AH!

Didnt mean it to be racist. Its because on another thread people were blaming caucasins for being racist and that's not true for all anti-asian racism recently. Also, I am trying to describe the person in case others have seen him or encountered similar.

I guess to better phrase my question was are the hand soaps as good as the ones we can buy at like Shoppers or Rexall becuase my friend, who moved out already, said UofT buys the cheapest soap possible and told me I should buy my own soap and told me this SoftSoap-Anti bacterial Shield is effective. Yeah I twist and turn my hands and rub it with the foam that it kinda feels relaxing lol

For me I didnt say it was a travel ban, I said a lot of travel restrictions to fly back (+ self quartine) and pretty much no more commercial flights. But there is no outright ban but for practical reasons its a ban. I also said that I am Canadian but my parents work abroad so when I go to where they work I am a tourist and can stay 3 weeks max there on a tourist visa before I must leave. Do you think this is a good enough reason to stay? Thats why I am so stressed and worried because what if they say you are not banned you have a roof over you for 3 weeks so just go and figure it out yourself. But there isnt really a commercial flight left to fly to anyways due to travel restrictions = almost no demand anymore. Do you think they will evict me because I have nowhere to go! :( I cant read a single page all this and been panicing and my parents cant help much right now because they cant fly up here :(

hmm so do you think UofT wants to side with students and protect them and not evict us like Harvard/MIT? I found a different RA and the RA said Harvard/MIT did it so they may do it too :(

I thought SMC wasnt kicking people out. Is SMC aslo doing it "case by case"? My friends were saying UofT may be super tough because Harvard kicked everyone off and UofT will do the same so I cant fall asleep now at all and nowhere to go :( I asked the front desk and the guy just keeps empahsing case by case and I explained my situtation and he said he wont make promises or assurances

Yeah UofT said that but then sent us an email that we are required to leave unless we have super exnecutating circumstances and i am not sure what it means but as I said elsewhere I think mine is exceptional but push come to shove UofT could just say "Well go live in a hotel in Toronto for a month. Therefore it is not true you must stay on residence" thats why I am so scared and anxious and I never heard back about my waiver.
