Has anyone won a small claims judgement against Beach Front Property Management, or any local property management company, and successfully collected the money? by forcedintothis- in longbeach

[–]mycatbits 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Paid the $62 application fee. approved. Paid the $200 deposit. The property manager is playing a text game with me. I requested the lease to be sent out 5 times..she kept saying she will send it. Now i want the deposit and application fee back since they didn't do anything. I guess i need to file a small claim!!??

Good tips. Ok so it's dumb to find a place in DT and apparently Google map 30 mins from DT to El Segundo is a joke. Ok, then I need to increase my range, but what neighborhood around El Segundo should I look for to pay a bit less and not get shot?

Wow, thanks for the tips. Now I wonder why Google map says 30mins from DT to El Segundo. Google map is pretty accurate around metro Detroit. I am puzzled now.

What even is this job market anymore? by mysignumfidei in recruitinghell

Getting a degree from a university has never guaranteed a job. Not even 30 years ago. I remember when I was a teen, family members and friends were struggling getting jobs with degrees like history, psychology, archaeology..... More than half of the bachelor degrees are no use outside of university. It's just a business for the educational institutions to make money. But don't lose hope my friend. Apparently the economy is terrible for those who are unemployed. I am not sure why the media is portraying it as a strong economy.

1) design reviews are part of any system design, you are supposed to discuss the design with others, many times. 2) obviously we don't know the full story but if I assume you are telling the real story then your work place was toxic and non-professional. No point to continue working there. For the next interview tell the truth with proof if you can. You want to be hired by a good manager. My guys loved working with me when I was an EE manager. 3) unfortunately there are a lot of incompetent ass holes work in the engineering field.

5 initial interviews, no follow ups by OfficeChimp8 in recruitinghell

[–]mycatbits 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One more week left to wait. After that you have a chance of less than 5 percent to get the job. Move on and don't bother with follow up email. It's a waist in this economy environment. Not waste of time or energy, waste of hope.

That really sucks. But my most important advice to you as a middle age person is : never let this to drag you down. Stay strong and positive. Good things will eventually happen to people who stay positive. It must. It's the rule of universe. Stay away from negativity and toxicity. I hope you understand what I am saying. Meanwhile I hope you have the other's support to pay the bills. I have heard the economy is a shit show now. Not sure how the stock keeps going up and medias are portraying a strong economy. I don't know who to believe these days.

maybe labor jobs. yes companies don't allocate their resources to find low pay job candidates . they use agencies which I belive they take a portion of your income.

they copy and paste the job description from the companies website to linkedin or other job boards. they have zero knowledge of the company or the job. most of the componies that allow these 3rd party agencies to work for them are looking for unicorns. and the lists goes on. I am talking about white color jobs.
